We are in the process of building a 64bit version of our software, but we use Flash player's OCX control to host Flash in our windows. This OCX file is a 32bit build, do you know if it's possible to host this 32bit version of Flash within our 64bit application?

I run the same SWF file (that was compiled on the Linux machine) on a Windows machine, and the created file contains the expected data. I was thinking there was a permissions problem, but if that were so, why should Linux even let me save the file? It is going to slow things down immensely if I cannot code something and test it on the same machine...

The website consists of 10 static pages, 140KB each (design+images+CSS).JavaScript is being delivered via Google CDN (jQuery, SWFObject) to save bandwidth.We have 20 SWF games, each weights around 500KB to 6MB top.I'm planning to use dynamic compressions and basically any possible method to save bandwidth and resources, but nevertheless I must get a large hosting for possible growing in the future.SQL is nothing special: DB size will be 150MB top and all tables are indexed using fulltext catalogs and non-clustered indexes.

For the past while, my developer has been working with me on a small project to put together a live interactive whiteboard app, powered by Flash Media Interactive Server. Well, everything is finished & ready to go, but there seems to be a big problem:
The app was developed & tested on a windows machine, while my server and all my website files (to integrate with) is on a Linux system.
It's been a month since this problem arrose, and there had not been any further progress with this project for the time. My developer doesn't seem to know much about how the 'conversion process' works, if there is one.
Do you know if this is possible (to convert a windows-programmed app to work on a linux system)? If so, do you know roughly how it should be handled?
am trying to figure out how to fix a problem. I have my computer hooked upto the television to watch shows and movies. However playing flash related content always freezes when in full screen mode. This includes if something is playing or if the movie has ended and the player is staying in full screen mode.I have tried on IE8, Firefox and Safari. This is so that I can transfer my font and syntax colouring preferences (preferences export doesn't seem to work). When I relaunch the workspace Flash Builder launches as Standard on the splash screen and Premium features are disabled. The problem is obviously related to my .settings folder.
Would anybody happen to know if there is a way to scale objects accordingly on stage when switching to fullscreen.. It's sort of like when the stage is set to "scale", and all the objects scale accordingly, but I'm trying to scale the objects while having the stage set to "noScale"..

This As2 swf is hosted by an AS3 swf loaded in using Loader class and a local connection between them is managed by swfBridge. I want to know what the best way for both AS3 and AS2 swfs to share this array is? or how can I call a function in the AS2 (client) swf and return the array to the AS3 (host) swf when it needs to read the items from the array?

I'm trying to request to an API method on the same server that is hosting the SWF file. I'm getting a security error 2048. This occurs whether I use POST or GET, and leaving the request data blank doesn't improve things. Nothing is sent in either case, and I get a SecurityErrorEvent to stare at. Everything works smoothly from the IDE.
The applet isn't trying to load the crossdomain.xml file, so it apparently isn't considering the request to be cross-domain, and shouldn't be any other domains involved. Loading images from the swfRoot works fine.
Is there anything else that could be causing this error? Furthermore, is there any way I can find out more details about what exactly is going on? Tracing the toString of the ErrorEvent only gives me "Error 2048" - I've seen reference in other questions to messages for this error that read "cannot load data from XXX", but I can't seem to get one of these (I'm using Flash CS5).

My Flash file works fine on local file, but when loaded to hosting site, nothing shows. Zilch. Not had this problem before, but I've not tried with this hosting service before, which is GoDaddy. Could that be the problem? Or is there something wrong with my coding? View 2 RepliesI am working on a short animated story, which has a scrubbable timeline and chapter headings. I used TimelineMax for sequencing it. For the most part, it is working fine. I am seeing some strange behavior that pop up, though: sprites disappear, functions stop responding to user input, seams of the sprites become transparent -- all small issues but pretty hard to nail down because they happen in Mac only.
So I am wondering what is wrong with Flash, and why it misbehaves on a Mac?
When I changed hosting from the companies hosting to my own personal GoDaddy hosting everything went right, except for 2 flash slide shows (Simple rotating images). They just apear as clear boxes now. You can see what I am talking about here: [URL] and here [URL] . You will notice the empty large empty box on the right in both pages. When you right click on it the browser recognizes that it is flash. On the Piza site I tried taking out the original code and entering the flash object via Dreamweaver CS5, but that yeilded the same results (I only mention this because the code on that site will thus look a bit different).

View 1 RepliesI had an flv recording from a webcam.It mostly recorded fine, but there's one point where I paused the broadcast for an intermission.A few minutes later the broadcast started again but the video doesn't play beyond that point, only audio plays.A few minutes later in the recording the broadcast switched to another camera and the video starts playing again just fine from there.I can't seek past the frozen point either to skip a couple of seconds ahead.The freeze is at about 9:00.If I seek to 9:01 it jumps ahead 8 minutes to where the camera switches.What's strange in this is that the video is *definitely* in the file.Using Moyea's FLV Editor Pro I converted the FLV to an MPEG and the whole video is there, so it's not that the camera stopped transmitting, it's just that the playback isn't working.

I see the HTML code for setting this up (available from my host), but do not know how to get it to work in my Flash site. (I did not build the site and know very little about Flash...I'm learning as I go in order to do updates.) It looks like the site currenly links to a PHP file to allow for sign ups to our newsletter. Can anyone tell me h how to get the HTML code to work on my site?

Whatever i try, by switching the camera (3 different UVC-cameras) or which Linux-OS (CentOs, Fedora Core) or testing at different Flash-Sites (incl. one of my own) - i always get a resolution of 160 x 120. Other applications manage up to 800 x 600.
Is this a known Bug/Feature? I've searched the Internet and found many people with the exact problem, but with no solution. What should i do? The tool flashcam didn't work either.
