I have embedded the calender (datefield and datechooser) control of flex in cfm. When my application page loads the calender (swf) gets loads only if we mouseover the placeholder. However the issue is only in machines which have the debugger flash version and works fine in release version.

I would like to find out if there is a way for a message to pop up on my website if the user has Flash Player version lower than 10.1. If the version 10.1 or higher (in the future) no message should come up. The message should prompt a user to update to the Flash Player version 10.1. My entire site is in Flash and I am using AS3. So I am guessing I should implement an AS3 code on the first frame of the script layer. Does anyone know what would be this code?

I am trying to build an XML gallery by loading thumbs from the XML file and then once the thumbs are loaded, when I click on a thumb the corresponding main image should be loaded into an imageContainer mc. I got the thumbs to load using a for loop that loops through an XMLList but now I cannot get the thumbs load the corresponding image because I keep getting this error
Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2035: URL Not Found.

View 1 RepliesI have a basic mouseover in my flex application which changes an image onmouseover and changes it back onmouseout using the code mouse Over "functionToChangeImageSource()" and another one to mouseout.It works fine when you slowly mouse over and out, however if I quickly move the mouse over it, it occasionally stays on the mouseover image and the mouseout function doesnt appear to kick in. Is there anything I can do to fix this, or does anyone have any ideas why its happening?Also, I've tried the rollOver and rollOut instead but it has the same problem.[code]I'd imagine you're correct about the mouseover event not completing before mouseout is but how to I fix this?

Infact, things should be done like that on mouse over, its text is printed and when i take my mouse away[out] from the movieClip MouseOut event should be called.

I'm running MAMP under OS X 10.5.8 I've downloaded the Debugger Version of the Flash 10 plug-in and installed it. Created a the mm.cfg in /Library/Application Support/Macromedia with the following content:

I've tried everything, firewalls, reinstalling etc etc. I can't get the debugger to connect no matter what I do.
I'm just writing a simple Air application, with Flex and Actionscript. But any type of debugging on any type of application doesn't work. I get this message
The Flash Builder debugger failed to connect to the running application.
Then often when I try again, I get this message
Unrecognized Windows Sockets error: 0: JVM_Bind
Running the program without debugging works fine.
I've got a strange problem that I cannot exactly get my head around. When I compile and start my application with the Adobe Flash Professional 5.5 Debugger (Ctrl+Shift+Enter), the application fails while loading with the following message:
Code: XML ERROR LOADING:skins/test//testskin.xml Error #2032: Stream-Error. URL: file:///C|/test%5Fflash/output/skins/test//testskin.xml The error does not appear when just publishing and starting the application from Flash (Ctrl+F12).
the flash debugger suddenly stopped working, it no longer stops at breakpoints and when I right click on the swf, select debug and choose local host, it says "A connection to the debbuger or Profiler could not be established by Adobe Flash Player 10." or something along those lines, despite the fact that I'm developing my project using flash9 settingssays I should add one line "127.0.0.1 localhost" to a "hosts" file in the windows/drivers folder but I checked and it's already there.
View 5 RepliesI am using Windows 7 Professional and Flash CS4. I installed the flash player debugger, now I can't get rid of it. It slowed Flash down to a crawl. I ran the uninstall_flash_player found on this site. No effect. Flash is still really slow and still shows a ton of information in the output screen when I compile.
