Flash :: C# - Block Elements In The Web Browser Control?
Jan 17, 2012
I building a C# application with a WebBrowser control in it and and I am trying to figure out a way to get the flash content within the web page to not display as it is sucking up a ton of my CPU and memory. I've been trying to remove the tag within the page (there's only one) by getting it via browser.Document.GetElementsByTagName("object") and setting its outerHtml to an empty string. It returns one element (confirmed by the Count property) but accessing the first element ([0]) gives an index out of range error. I've tried doing it via a foreach loop but nothing happens at all and there are no errors. If I try to retrieve
elements instead of elements, the foreach loop runs. Am I doing something wrong here, is there a bug, or is there a better way to remove the flash content?
[Code]...
EDIT: I just figured out that while the DocumentCompleted event is being called, it is being called before JavaScript injects the flash content onto the page. I've tried a few "sleeping"-like methods but they all stop the web page from processing too. Any way to wait for more time (5 seconds or so) while the webpage continues to render?
This will parse child elements of the <text-block> but will not work with
as it has its own child elements
. I guess this could be accomplished with yet another loop but I wanted to check to see if there was another simpler way.
I'm attempting to put together a Flash site that fits the entire browser window no matter what the user sizes it to. I have searched here along with Google and can't seem to find a solution to my problem. I found a nice example on how to achieve it however it is missing one key aspect of what I need which has got me wondering whether or not what I'm looking to do is even possible.
My flash site has movie clips that will animate from off the stage on the right and bottom edges. What I want to have happen is in the browser window I want it to look like it comes from off-screen as well. So for example, you have a ball bounce in from off the right side of the screen into the center of the browser and then maybe it bounces down off the screen at the bottom of the browser.
The solution I have found fills the window and doesn't scale which is what I'm looking for, but any items that are off the stage in my Flash file will show in the browser if it is resized big enough. Here's the example I found[url]..
Is there way to get the browser to always load any swf files before everything else on a page (exept the external css and swfobject.js). Using Firebug's Net statistics I can see the swf files generally load last.
We have all our external js files inserted at the bottom of the page to help loading times.
Is there a way to disable Flash Audio while i'm using My Winform application which has a WebBrowser Control (gecko(firefox) and WebBrowser control IE)? I would block only flash audio inside the webpage(where i navigate) not all the sound of my application.
My client has a website that plays YouTube videos. Once a video is finished playing, it will automatically play the next one. This is done by using the YouTube API and swfobject. After some research, I was told that Safari on iPhone does not support flash. This make the current swfobject code not working on the iPhone browser. As workaround, when the user clicked on an embedded player, iPhone will launch the YouTube app.
Im trying to implement a mini browser in adobe air. The browser should work in the same ways as a mobile phone browser, i.e. fit the width of the website to a certain width(specified within the html component) and leave the height to be scrollable. I have managed to do a mini browser by using the scaleX,scaleY properties of the mx:HTML component however these make the websites look unreadable. I have also tried setting the css3 zoom property, and that works fine, but it only zooms out certain elements, therefore messing up the site layout. My question is: Is there a way to make a mini web browser which shows the full content of the website?
I've created an mxml page that displays a tree control, however the data is only being displayed as branches. Even items that are leaves are being displayed as branches. <mx:Script> import mx.collections.ArrayCollection; public function init():void { var item:Object; var array:Array = new Array(); [Code] .....
Just wondering if anyone knows what I would add to my actionscript for a getURL command to make the browser window that opens up a certain size, in my case, really small.
is it possible to control refresh button of browser? i want browser to open current frame of flash movie without starting the whole flash movie from first frame. I know that previous and next buttons on browsers can open previously opened frames of flash.
I want to add scripting functionality to my Adobe Flex application. I know it's possible to use the Browser control, and add the script packaged as a HTML file to the Browser control, and expose Flex objects. However I'd like to if it is possible to execute JavaScript without using the Browser control.UPDATE: I guess my question hasn't been clear enough. I'll explain what I'm trying to do.I want to make my application customizable using JavaScript ie., add scripting/plugins to my application dynamically.I realize that it's possible to dynamically execute Javascript by inserting the JS code into the HTMLLoader control. I would like to know there is a direct way to execute JavaScript without inserting it into the HTMLLoader control.
I want to make a synchronous request to a server. I want the entire program to stop processing anything until the request is complete and the server has responded; what is the proper way of doing this?
i have an html web site withe flash movie there is white block for a few second before the flash movie is up ow do i get read of it? can i make this white clock to be black or to have a clock the time until the flash movie is up
i am creating a website for a band, with an mp3 player. i want to be able to make an mp3 player that pops up in a separate browser window. the mp3 player would have a "playlist" that can be dynamically changed from the main window, which gives a list of albums & tracks to choose from. the model for this is Rhapsody's web interface. so, how would i go about creating & dynamically changing the playlist (while music is playing) across multiple browser windows? the "playlist" would be an array of references to mp3s, i guess-- so is there a way to pass events & variables across the windows?
if there is a way to allow the page content to still be clickable with a flash animation the size of the webpage over it. I have a flash animation the size of my page that is a loading wave that drops to the bottom of the page after a few seconds but even though its dropped and the page content is visible.. i cannot click anything.
Is there any way to block an embed flash from accessing the internet? The idea is to block ads that appear "internally". I have it embed in the traditional way, as follows[code]...
Symbol=sprite 415, layer=Layer 22, frame=1, Line 7 Statement block must be terminated by '}' Symbol=sprite 415, layer=Layer 22, frame=1, Line 28 Syntax error.
I also have a few problem with my quicklink menu.
1. Quick link (sprite 164)
a. How do I create the link when I click at Zedma E-Store it will go [URL]
b. Why I cannot click on Contact menu, I already add the actionscript on this button, but it look like Im missing somewhere else.
2. Contact Form (sprite 415)
a. When I trying to type my name Faizal the screen will display FaiZal, what should I do
b. I cannot type @ on email address on e-mail address column
c. I only can type no.0,2,3,5 on Your Telephone: column
I have two SWFs: a Loader SWF, and a Loaded SWF. I need to add the Loaded SWF to the display hierarchy, but I don't want to give it free access to the stage. It may, for instance, attempt to change the scaleMode, and I don't want that to happen. What are some good methods for restricting loaded content's access to the stage? I may, for instance, want to allow it to access the stageWidth and stageHeight, but not the scaleMode or align.
Additional Constraints. I can't change anything about the Loaded SWF. Both SWFs are in the local-with-file-system sandbox. These SWFs are both Flash Player 10, ActionScript 3, made in Flash Professional. Not AIR, not Flex. I'd love to be able to implement a proxy class or a getter to somehow intercept calls to the stage, but I don't believe there is any way to.
I don't believe, for example, that you can subclass the Stage class and use that subclass in place of the normal Stage object referenced by the stage property in all MovieClips. The stage property is read-only, so it can't be cross-scripted by the Loader to point to something different.
The basic idea is that I have a string that contains a user's comment, which could potentially contain URLs, so I wanted to take a string like:"Gee, the folks in the Url...And using pattern replace, replace the URL with an HTML hyperlink, so the string would end up being:[code]So my question is how can I alter the pattern replace code so that it accommodates a string containing random text, as well as a URL.
In Flash you have the option to embed only certain unicode blocks of selected font. Those characters will then be available in your project.Which unicode block is needed to display certain latin-based language? It's obvious in cases like Greek or Hebrew but what latin extension do I need for German, Danish or Czech language?
I have SWF files that I load into my flash movie and those SWF files sometimes have mouse events that can interfere with dialogs and buttons in my flash movie. I'd like to temporarily disable the loaded SWFs mouse event handlers or block them from having any effects on my flash movie. My flash movie is AS 2.
Is it possible to control a Flash movie from JS when you have no control over the source? I have decompiled the movie to see its inner workings, but I know nothing about Flash, so I'm mostly in the dark. I found this resource, Interaction with JavaScript, but it's not working for me (probably because I don't know what message to send to the movie).
I have a flex application and have embedded a flash (SWF) file into it using <mx:SWFLoader>. There is an "Exit" button on the Flash file. I want to be able to handle the button click event on the flex application.
So when that button in the flash file is clicked, I want to perform an action in the parent flex application.
I made a .as Class where some graphical elements are spawned into the stage. However, the Flash (.fla) have some internal graphics that are supposed to be over the graphical elements spawned from the custom class.I tried to make another layer over the layer where the as3 Class is being called, but unfortunately it doesn't do anything, the graphic from the .as still appearing over the internal .fla graphics.
