Is it possible to export FLA composition to Flex? So it will work exactly as in Flash Pro but instead in FLEX? FLA contains a bunch of movieClips, buttons, images, all driven by an .as file.

I'm creating an actionscript project in Flex Builder. I succeed to export from Flash a SWC file, and to use it succesfully in Flex. I have a good programming background and Flex looks very simple for me, but I have difficult times in flash. I'm trying to achieve something that might be very simple(not for me of course): I create a simple shape in Flash, convert it to symbol. Then I create a TextField. The I select both the elements and convert them to another symbol, and Export it as a movieclip in swc.
In flex I want to change the value from the textfield. How should I do? I'm trying to do:

View 6 RepliesI opened up an old project in Flex Builder 3 which runs on Adobe AIR 1.0. I believe it was originally written in Flex Builder 2. When I try to run the Adobe Air application, nothing happens. When I try to export a release build, I get this error: If I change the main-app.xml file to use the 1.5 version of the namespace, it builds fine. Unfortunately, the clients environment runs on 1.0. Ideas?
View 2 RepliesI will not be hosting the .swf file and I would like to include images using Flash Builder 4. The images appear in a folder in the exported version and I'm not sure how to "embed" them into the .swf (so that I can deploy the file to sites like Kongregate, etc.)
Seems like it should be simple, but my Google fu is currently poor.
Edit: Note, I would like to continue using the Flex framework, which is what I am using now.

View 1 RepliesI have an AIR application with two DataGrids that I would like to export to Excel. I've found the as3xls library, but it can only handle one sheet (as per the comments). Ideally, I'd like to export both DataGrids into separate sheets in the same workbook.
The AIR application is running entirely on the user's desktop and doesn't have a connection to any server, so the solution would need to be Flex/AIR only.
When I change my workspace I copy my .settings folder to the new .metadata folder:
.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.core.runtime/
This is so that I can transfer my font and syntax colouring preferences (preferences export doesn't seem to work). When I relaunch the workspace Flash Builder launches as Standard on the splash screen and Premium features are disabled. The problem is obviously related to my .settings folder.
So I was working normally, and accidentally hit the profiling button after that, I later decided to export my current.air.URL...Why would the export button disappear all the sudden? I cannot find it at all. It seems rather interesting not being able to export a .air and provide an installer.

I have an AIR application i'm trying to release with flexbuilder. Launching application has no problem ... bin-debug dir is correctly filled with my files. But when i want to create the AIR file (export release fuild), AIR files content view is empty and bin-debug directory is never filled.
