Jquery :: Firefox Restarts Flash Movie If Enclosing DIV Class Changes?

I have a flash movie (simple video player) that is nested within a DIV, which is itself nested in a jQueryUI-Draggable DIV. Thus flash-object < div < div.ui-draggable
Now when I dynamically add/remove a class to the draggable DIV (in this case minimized which gives it a smaller size), Firefox (both 3.6 and 4 Win & Mac) will always restart the flash movie, which also restarts the video playing in that movie.
Webkit, Opera and even IE (Trident) don't give me that issue.
To clarify: I embed the flash object with the jQuery SWFObject plugin, wmode is opaque, and all the CSS declarations use absolute pixel dimensions, no % or ems involved.

so I have buttons that launch a new html page via: getURL("xxxx.html", "_blank");but users have to approve Internet Explorer (and the like) to approve popups.. when they do it restarts the flash movie - namely restarting the whole site. Are there any workarounds? do i have any options?

I am using ColorBox over a Flash file which works just fine in all browsers on all platforms except for an annoying behaviour in Firefox on Vista. On calling ColorBox it pops up and displays the loading graphic fine, but once the content has loaded the ColorBox window resizes and then stalls for up to 10 seconds before showing the content, see screen grab. It shows the ColorBox window in a state before and after it has been resized at the same time for up to 10 seconds and then displays the content.
However, I did notice when trying to screen grab this behaviour that hitting Print Screen seemed to force the content to show. I could not get ColorBox to remain in this state after hitting the Print Screen button on my keyboard.

I have a flash within a holder div (flash container). I use swfobject to insert the flash object (if it makes any difference). I want to resize that holder div to make it smaller in width, when I achieve the "second level" in my "flash application". (with jQuery .animate() function). What "flash application" mean: I have a human body on wich I can click in different body areas. That is the first action - and the effect is to zoom onto that specific area of the body.
Then I can click again on a more specific zone into that area - and the effect consists in fetching some stuff via ajax. (it's some medical stuff, diseases etc.) - that's the "second level" in my "flash application". Then I can click on that stuff fetched via ajax - that's when I resize the flash holder. The problem is that, because of this resizing, my flash reloads and comes back to it's original state, without that zoom level. This reload appears in the "second level", and not when I click on the stuff fetched via ajax and the flash holder resizes. But that's the cause of the reload, because without this resizing, it's all ok. The problem is just in Firefox, I tested it in IE6,7,8, Opera 10, Safari latest and Chrome and there's nothing wrong there, the flash does not realod. I'd been following several answers to similar problems with no luck at all, so i decided to try asking by myself:I have a page with several links that have to load data via Ajax using jquery and put the response inside a div. The main "tab" is a flash wich is inside a layer.Every time a user clicks on any of those links, flash container is resized to 0px and set visibility to hidden (trying to prevent the reload behaviour if display is set to none).
All works just fine EXCEPT the first time you click on any link that hides flash layer. In that particular case (only in Firefox) it resets the flash to initial state. I'm going nuts about this..

I have a problem switching the content of a div using jQuery functions clone and append.
In a few words, I'm using two links to show and hide flash videos: link1 shows video1 and hides video2. Link2 shows video2 and hides video1.
Here's the code I have:

Im trying to load a flash movie using swfobject which I have been successful in doing so however the flash movie takes a few seconds to load I wanted to show a simple loading animation however the animation never displays. I commented out the code that embeds the movie and found that the animation does get displayed.

I'm using the HTML5 JW Player. It sizes the HTML5 video correctly, but shrinks the Flash fallback player; here's an example page: Test Page
If you view that page in IE, you'll notice that on panel 5, the video is smaller than the space it's supposed to occupy. On Firefox, it works fine because it's using the OGG video in its HTML5 video player.Is there a way to resize the Flash video via JavaScript/jQuery to fit the same space as the HTML5 video?

Im working on a slideshow based on the jquery cycle plugin (found here: [URL]. The slideshow slides between different divs where I can put different content such as images and text. However i'd also like to add swf movies to the script wich just on a basic overview works. The video starts playing when the slide becomes visible but stops before it's done and goes over to next slide.
Of course this happens since i have a timer for how long each slide should be visible. What i wonder though is if there's a way with the script for it to dynimacly get the length of the video and not change slide until the video is complete and just do this for swf videos.

I have a problem with a flash movie, that is initated below a div element with z-index: 2000;. I have a onMouseDown event, on the div - which is triggering fine, and I have $(divelement).hover(functionIn(),functionOut()) attached. (The onClick event is captured by the underlying flash regardless of z-index)
In FF and IE9 this is all working as expected, but in IE8 the functionOut() and functionIn() is triggered on every pixel! What's a good way to fix this?
Possible to add some sort of pixel boundaries based on the element size and position to aid .hover() ?

I have a flash movie embedded on a webpage, it's an intro of sorts, when the movie has finished it removes itself from the DOM but I also want this functionality on flash movie click.so far to remove it after it's finished playing I'm using[code]but it never gets called. I also tried adding the click event to the body and it worked everywhere but not over the top of the flash movie.

I am making a dynamic banner system which can handle img banners, as well as flash banners done with object/embed. The entire site makes heavy use of jQuery, including handling the 'click' events.
This obviously isn't a problem when it comes to tracking the clicks on the image itself (i track the click on the parent DIV tag. However, it fails when the advert is an SWF, as I suspected it would.Is there a jQuery workaround that would allow me to capture a click on a Flash element with the DOM?

I need to be able to detect when JQuery resizes the embedded movie so I can trigger a function in my Flash movie. I created a function which detects if Stage.width or Stage.height has changed but this only works when I resize the window after pressing Ctrl+Enter in Flash Pro and not on the webpage.

when i view my flash file in firefox 3.5.5, it compresses my flash movie smaller and quality looks pretty bad. In Safari, it is fine. I tried publishing as "exact pixels" instead of match movie and set scale at exact fit.
update: now firefox is cropping my flash movie....but safari looks fine

I have a Flash movie and a list of links. The links display underneath the Flash movie. It works in IE but not FireFox:http:[url]..........Here are the layers: layer 1 is flash content, layer 2 is the links:

I have a basic site for an old age home. Recently I decided to put a Flash Movie on the Homepage but even though all files are loaded and links correct it won't show in either IE or Firefox...

There is a white space where the movie should be loading... But it doesn't...
I've done lots of sites with the same kind of movies and they all work fine... But this ons just doesn't work. It views fine when I test it on my computer but as soon as I load it - nothing...

works perfect on my macbook pro (safari, firefox, and opera) but when I view the site on Vmare Fusion Windows XP and use IE and FireFox the pages don't load... I don't know what to make of this. Has anyone hear or seen anything like this happen before? BTW the website was created in Adobe Flash CS4/ AS 3.0 and published using Flash Player 10.
