ActionScript 2.0 :: How To Recover URL Of SWF Dynamically

I have a swf. With a script inside that I need to recover the URL this same swf, dynamically (via actionscrit). But I don't know a actionscript command that return the url of the swf.
I was working on an animation for a project and Flash told me it couldn't save and Save As wasn't working. The program crashed and the file I was working on was corrupted. I doubled my effort on getting back to where I was on my project, being extra careful not to do what caused it to crash before. Unfortunately, fate was not on my side, and it did it again. Obviously I'm screwed, but still I like to keep on to my projects and upload them to megaswf or something to share on facebook. I'm using CS5 btw.
I have a page (MovieClip) which is charger and have a attribut a matrix (not the class). On this page, there is some cases (MovieClip) which receive value of the matrix.
Each cases are managed by Class. It's a good option, because I can put a listener into the contructor of the class and not having 64 functions if I have 64 cases. This listener allows to change the value of the cases when it clicked.
The problem is that I don't see how to know when a case is clicked in the page for changing the value of the matrix.
Using Adobe Flash CS3 on a sometimes dual monitor setup. After attaching back to my docking station, and starting up Flash CS3, the window is off the edge of the right hand monitor somewhere, and I am not sure where. The mouse cursor makes it look like the window is somewhere off the lower right hand corner of the screen somewhere, but even after holding in the left and up arrows for a long time, there is no motion, and the window never appears. I can maximize the program back to my primary monitor, but this is hardly an ideal solution.

How can I access to an object who fires an eventListener event?
Let's say I have a mc:

which has an eventlistener: element.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, elementEventHandler);

So that is what I want to achieve... Recover the object who fired the event and then do crazy things with it (in this example, add another object in it).
pd: yes, I know I can directly use the var element in this snippet, but in the real code I'm generating the mcs in a loop, according to a xml file.
My Flex app uses local SharedObjects. There have been incidents of the Flash cookie getting corrupt, for example, due to a plugin crash. In this case SharedObjects.getLocal will throw an exception (#2006).
My client wants the app to recover gracefully: if the cookie is corrupt, I should replace it with an empty one. The problem is, if SharedObject.getLocal doesn't return an instance of SharedObject, I've nothing to call clear() on. How can I delete or replace such a cookie?
I am developing a software in flash in which I need to draw some points in a movie clip dynamically with moveTo() and lineTo() during the runtime of the software. However, later in the future (during runtime), given the (x,y) coordinates of a point, I need to know if this specific point is part of the curve I drew before. Is there a way of doing that without saving the (x,y) coordinates of all the points I have drawn in the movie clip?
Is it possible to recover the HttpHeader information from a flex Client? I want to do the following:
User download the flex client from a web site
In each communication flex client catch the HttpHeader information in order to change (If it is necessary) the host information to be connected (For example in a HA configuration)
I have been trying to figure out how you could add in custom attribute tags that flash can recover.
EX: <param name = "movie" value = "somefile.swf"> <embed src = "somefile.swf" width = "550" height = "400">
Except, that I would like to add a Custom tag, like "randNum" so that the tag user could input some number, or rather, a flash movie could generate a tag with a number already put in...Basically, heres a really basic version of the idea.There is a Flash Movie.In the movie, you can input text into a textfield.Upon finishing your message, you click a button "save".
The flash movie then:
1. Comes up with a random number unique to the message.
2. Assigns that number to a variable... "randNum".
3. Saves message as a xml file to the server as "filename" + randNum.
4. Outputs into a textfield a generated HTML tag that a user can post on myspace and such so that it will load in the flash movie.
Except... in the tag, there will be a custom attribute. If the random number variable "randNum" was 00112233, the custom attribute will be 00112233.
So when the movie opens, it retrieves that randNum from the tag and can use it inside flash. How can this be done? Sorry this post was so long, but I wanted everyone to understand the concept.
I have a game where i add some cartoonish ants, that when they are clicked, they need to be removed from stage. There are 4 differend kinds of ants, so im doing a Math.random for picking which one to add. (ant 1+2+3 have 50% chance to spawn and 4th 50%)

I have a timer doing 10 tick, and i reset the timer to make neverending. Then i have a math random and if sentences adding mc' to the stage with movement from Tweener, and event listeners for clicks. But i cant figure out how to remove them when clicked. I have done alot of failed tries right inside the click_candy_anty function. I've left them commented out.

Essentially, I've got a MC container that's created dynamically based off an XML file (basically for every <title></title> I've got, it makes a new "card"). Now within the context of each <title></title> grouping I've got <imgs></imgs> in which I specify the path to images that are related.All of that works perfectly, save for the external jpg files actually appearing on the stage. The MC I add them to does, but the external image doesn't.My problem is- I can't add the external images until they're completely loaded (or so it appears). The thumbnail BG I use is blank. So I know for a fact that the thumbnail BG isn't occluding the loaded thumbnails.
That's the correct syntax for this? I want to be able to dynamically write to several textfields that exist on the stage but have not been dynamically placed there.
I'm dynamically creating movieclips with dynamically created movieclips inside them and am having trouble with targeting them.Below is a simplified example of what I'm trying to achieve, in the real file there are a lot more movieclips and I'm creating and naming them with a for loop.
This one is just one Sprite created inside another sprite. I can target the top level sprite named "testname". However when i try target the nested MC it throws an error.The bottom couple of traces are just test MCs I've made to make sure i got the syntax right, on targeting nested movieclips.

Something like that. However, my issue is not selecting a movieclip dynamically, but selecting another movieclip dynamically within a dynamically selected movieclip.
building an application where the user makes their own logo/picture. I have a Logo MC, with a bunch of stuff. Here is my problem: I want the user to be able to add an unlimited amount of textboxes to the logo mc, but also be able to go back and edit those text boxes' color, filters, size, text etc. I don't know exactly how to go about doing this. I have a movieclip that is like a text control:It has a textbox to specify text, a colorpicker for color, etc. When a user clicks, "Add new text", I want to add a new text control movie clip to the end of all the others, and also link it to a textbox that is added in the logo. coming from php i would just set up an associative array like list array('speed'=>array(false,false,true,...),'weapon '=>array(true,false,....and so on I can not for the life of me figure out how to store this information and then use it as a variable name later.my end result should look something like this .. i just don't understand how to do this in as3 .. it seems unnecessarily convoluted.

I need to be able to dynamically import an external pdf file into my flash .swf and display it within a movie clip on the timeline. --with pagination. Is this possible with Flash CS4? I have been out of the flash game for about a year now. However, a situation has arisen where I need to create a swf movie that loads an external pdf, paginates it, and displays it within a movie clip in the swf. Is this possible or will I be forced to only provide a hyperlink to the pdf?
In my Flex application I am able to read the variables using something like /flexapp.html?name=josh with no problems. However, this is because I go into the URL and type in the variables by hand. Is there anyway in the code to dynamically append the variable part "?name=josh" ? For example, like retrieving the url and then adding that and then pointing to it?

I would like to add new row on the fly (runtime) to my AdvancedDataGrid.I can add it to the data model, but couldn't find a way to make the table render and show the new row.What i am seeking for is to create an effect of expandable item, where clicking on row will show "additional information" (like a drawer) and clicking on row expand button will reveal it's children.I saw examples of this for dataGrid (http:url...), but not for AdavancedDataGrid.Only way I found to do this is to add a new child and use openItem, but this cause the other children to be visible as well.
I need to find or develop an app that will load in a pdf file from the web, allow a user to make simple annotations and save these annotations back to a webserver I'm curently using the zurb javascript annotator with the pdf rendered to a .jpg with imagemagick. Just now, I was told that they need the ability to zoom in to 3000% or more on some files. clearly rendering to a jpg would create gigantic files.
So I need to create either a java app or a flash app that will load the original pdf, allow the user to mark it up, and save either the annotated pdf, or the annotations themselves back to the webapp. This also needs to live IN the web browser, launching acrobat reader, or an air app that must be downloaded and installed are not going to work here.
