ActionScript 2.0 :: Movie Clips Return To Original State?

Apr 3, 2007

the problem is that when i click on another link i.e. "Home"...i have an outro that plays.it is a mask that covers all the buttons and creates a wipeout effect. but you'll notice right after you click the link the buttons return to their original opacity. is there a way to have their current opacity stay so that they don't return to original when the wipeout occurs? the code is fairly simple. each rollover button(movie clip) has the following code.

//stop();
this.onEnterFrame = function() {

ActionScript 3.0 :: Tweening - Don't Return To The Original State

Jan 8, 2010

I'm just creating a simple navigation bar. When you scroll over a button (in this case "cai_btn") the other buttons drop to the bottom of the screen. But when I try to run this script the items drop to the same place and overlap. They also don't return to the original state, they move in the right direction, just completely off screen. Here's a link to what it does now: [URL]

ActionScript 2.0 :: AttachMovie, Multiple Movie Clips W/ Original Data?

Jul 27, 2003

Now that I'm on the verge of madness I must consult the forum. I'm simply trying to take one movie clip I made, make it behave like a button, and attach multiple instances of it on my stage, each of which will load a different image to the page. Therefore each movie clip instance contains one crucial bit of unique info -> a number.

That way when I click on the upper left movie clip button it will load ["poster"+this.num] where this.num = 1 and so on. Im having a heck of a time talking to the variables stored in my movie clips... tried to do an onLoad since I only want to set it once but to no avail. any ideas? i'm confused myself just trying to explain it so i'll attach the fla, it's not too big.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Bouncing - Movie Clips Are All Odd Shapes Since They Are Counties In A State

Feb 6, 2009

I am working on a project for a client. It is a service map for their company. It is basically an isometric view of the clients state, split up into counties. The counties are individual Movie Clips. When a clip is rolled over, it appears to float up above the rest and it glows and displays a tool tip with county specific information. On roll out, the clip tweens back down to its original position in the isometric lay out.

Heres my issue, These Movie Clips are all odd shapes since they are counties in a state. If the mouse is positioned at the bottom edge of one of these clips it will "bounce" as in it rolls over, tweens up, sees the mouse isnt there, tweens back down, hits the mouse, and goes back up again. I have tried rearranging my event listeners, and even adding a timer to the tween back down, i still get the bouncing effect. here is some of the basic code.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Re-instantiating A Page Class In Original State ?

Nov 29, 2010

I'm making an app with pages set out as classes which extend the MovieClip class.

What I've got are back buttons and different pages which go to the same page, however... If I end up going out of a page and back into a page (specifically one with drawn squares and dynamic text boxes called from a web service), it seems to have kept all of the original information.

So far I've tried killing all of the children with a while loop targeting the index and also using weak event listeners - neither is working!

Flash :: Return Movieclip To Original Size?

May 6, 2010

I made a gallery in flash. I have external images load in a fixed display area -- I call it 'imageStage'. When the image is loaded, I resize the movieclip at the _x and _y to make the image fit the stage.

But what happens -- when I flip prev/next through a couple images, they keep shrinking and shrinking. Images that are smaller than the fixed area are being shrunk even further.

I'm thinking maybe if I clear the existing image from the MovieClip, it will reset itself back to regular size and proportions. But I don't know how to go about it.

What I cannot get right is the code to check if the target already has a clip on it, if it has that clip needs to return to its start position, so we only ever have one drag clip on the target.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Motion Tween The Button To Return Up To Its Original Spot When Another Button Is Then Pressed?

May 26, 2005

I'm trying to create a set of 4 vertically arranged buttons that 'split' apart when those buttons are pressed. For example, if you click the topmost (1st) button, the bottom three buttons will drop down so submenus (for the 1st button) can now be revealed beneath. Again, when you click the 2nd button from the top, the bottom two buttons drop down, revealing submenus, and so on.

Now, is there a way that I can use actionscripting to tween the buttons to not only motion tween a drop down when a button is first pressed, but also to motion tween the button to return up to its original spot when another button is then pressed? Right now, I have two keyframes, side-by-side which each containing a different y-scale value for an object. Can I do some actionscripting to get the object to motion tween upward to its original spot instead of "clicking," or snapping back to is original spot when another button is pressed?

ActionScript 3.0 :: Tweens Objects Return To Their Original Position - Start Jumping Between Y Axis 200 And Y Axis 83?

Aug 7, 2009

I've put together this simple code for an SWF with three roll over images (called: Training, Resources and Contact).When I roll over Training I would like the symbol Training_txt to tween its alpha to 1 (from 0) and tween its y axis to 220 (from 83).When I roll out of Training I would like to run the two tweens in reverse.

This works fine for each of the three roll over images, so long as each tween is allowed to fully execute before a new tween is started. The problem arises if i quickly move the mouse curser between the three roll over images before the previous tweens have finished executing.In this instance, the tweened objects start to behave erratically. They usually return to their original position as per the roll_out tween but then start jumping between y axis 200 and y axis 83 (without tweening - they just appear).

Code below -

stop();
import fl.transitions.Tween;
import fl.transitions.easing.*;[code]..........

How is it done? All I've seen on the web is how to change the color. Well how about going back. I'm talking about a MC with many colors. I can't just change back to a single hexadecimal color.

I can accomplish the change as it passes over a frame, but I can't get it to change back.

In the frame is this:

Code:
cHurtColor = new Color(_root.compMC);
cHurtColor.setRGB(0x00FF33);
