View 3 RepliesI notice on my 30 minute countdown timer that the seconds seem to skip and/or hesitate at different intervals. It seems to run for the full 30 minutes but it will be shown on a HUGE screen and the seconds movements is very obvious. how to fix the code for complete accuracy in the timing? Not sure if I should add milliseconds. ( I dont want that to show in the timer though, just minutes and seconds 00:00. Here's the code

I would like to make a button that will skip to and start playing at say frame 30.I can make the button but I just cant get the script to work.
View 2 RepliesI'm developing a flash presentation which has a FLVPlayback component in the middle. I was wondering if it was possible to make the FLV clip automatically go fullscreen when the PLAY button is pressed, and of course play the video - once finished exiting fullscreen mode.
OR
If a fullscreen version of the FLV file is played when a graphic is clicked.
I have some video that I imported in my Flash project. When I run the swift file the video automatically plays. What is the code to have the video play only when someone clicks the play button?

View 5 RepliesI'm a beginner level student. My project is to create a Splash Intro and a 4 page Website (Home page and 4 internal pages). I have to use Flash (no HTML, Java, CSS, etc). We are using Flash CS3 with Action Script 3. The Splash Intro should play continuously. This part I have working like a charm. However, the project requires a Skip Intro button. I have made the Skip intro button and gave the "instance" a name. The next part is where I'm stuck. I want to be able to click on the Skip Intro button and go to the first page of my "Website." I have all of my pages on one timeline. No movie clips. This is very basic.
My Home page has some animation on it. My name comes in from the left and three buttons come in from the right. When the user clicks on the Skip Intro button, I want it to go to the Home page, play the brief animation and STOP. I don't want the Skip Intro button to just go to frame 40 (for example) and just stop. And, if it goes to frame (50) for example and stops the user will miss the animation (right?). When i use time varaible and then minus the time. Ive noticed that flash does not count down in seconds, but the speed of light. My maths are not very strong so how can i get flash to count in seconds

I need a script that would play an animation consisting of 4 frames for, say 20 seconds. The order of those frames needs to be random but it has to stop after 20 seconds.Next, frames need to change each, say, half a second. Anyway, to make it work, I added a whole bunch of frames between the moving images to pause it - to give reader time to see pictures and words - then it goes on to next one. instead of doing it this way, I am wondering if I can just put an action of some kind on a frame to tell it to pause for X number of seconds, then play again?

I'm creating a flash game which uses time intervals with setInterval and sometimes does heavy calculations. The problem is that on slower machines these calculations can't keep up with the framerate and the movie slows down BUT the timers are unaffected what makes them asynchronous to the movie. Looking back, it was a bad idea to use timers but I can't change it back now. So...is there a way to skip drawing frames?
