ActionScript 3.0 :: Cannot Get Tweener Class To Work With Multiple Buttons

Using the tweener class to control After Effects/embedded FLVs, I cannot figure out why I can't get all three of my buttons to work. The first one works fine, but the second two do not work at all. They do not even show the pointer finger cursor on ROLL_OVER. I have 3 FLVs each with a named instance and each with a button symbol for a hit spot also with a named instance.

I have a problem when making flash applications with more than one frame that has symbols placed on it in that I can't declare all of the event listeners for the objects at the same time and I have found that even if I put them all on the first frame, add the event listeners, then click through to the next frame then the buttons won't work on that frame.
Does anyone have any idea how I could solve this? I did consider myself a fairly competent AS3 programmer until I realised I had no idea how to handle this sort of thing. Solved: I initialised the clips from my external class and then addChild'd and removeChild'd them as I needed to and placed their x and y on addChilding.

I'm designing a website for a Reiki/Spiritual advisor thingymebob and I have a menu on the left of my page of buttons and when I click a button it displays the contents of the button on the stage. Easy enough, so to speak, but the code I have written should send the viewer to a certain frame in the timeline where the tween begins.
When I play the swf and click the home button it works perfectly on the first page and if I go down the menu and click every other button in order they too all work fine, but as soon as I start clicking any other button randomly there is no tween effect and it seems to send me to the wrong page(!) plus straight to the clear text on the stage without any fading in tween. As though it has just gone to the last frame of the tween.

Working on a photography website and I've hit a speed bump. I have 5 separate movie clips for each page.on one section the Portfolio section, I have four buttons one for different areas of the Portfolio.The buttons are located within the movie clip.There's an eventlistener to direct to the appropriate frame within the portfolio movie clip. The problem is when I click on the portfolio button to go back to the main portfolio frame it does nothing. I get a trace statement but no action. I'm assuming that since the movie clip is already loaded its just staying at the same frame.how to get back to frame one of the portfolio movie clip.Here's the code:

I am executing a hittest when a chicken meets a crocodile; the chicken is afraid for the crocodile and turns back flying up in the air and back on the ground. In fact most of it works, allthough I can't get the wings to stop fluttering. As soon as the chicken returns on the ground, this must happen.This is the piece of code where it is about: (the function winger() is called once at the hittest)

I am attempting to delve into the world of coding and felt flash was a good place to start since I had flash 8, however I am running into a problem I just can't seem to work around.This is my project as it currently stands, you click and drag to move about, it randomly places/sizes the planets every time.The idea is to be able to click the planets and an interactive menu pop up, this menu in fact. As you can see the buttons in the movieclip are supposed to light up and things, alas they do not.I am trying to do as much as possible in classes at the moment by calling movieclips from the Library, the Planet class is what holds the planets, selection ring and menu, it looks like this:[code]I am also trying to figure out if it's possible to automatically place a number of planets based on some user input, so say if I have a text box pop up, I put 5 into that box and it places 5 planets on the screen (or in other words creates 5 variables with the planet class).

I would like to use the Tweener class, but I have no clue where I should put the files in my actionscript directory in flash.
EDIT: I tried looking up after some tutorials, everybody is talking about that I should put the "gs" folder in my fla directory, thats not really usefull if there is not even a "gs" directory in the zip I downloaded! All the files are in the "greensock" directory, but when I try to import it I get:

I've got a property, var angleX:Number; declared right after my class declaration (therefore available to each function in the class). How do I go about tweening this value with Tweener? I am working on a UI that makes heavy use of the Tweener class, and which also loads an external .swf that I believe also uses the Tweener class.
After tracking down all kinds of buggy behavior, I'm thinking that the problem is that the loaded .swf is making calls to Tweener.removeAllTweens() *(This is just an assumption) and stopping other tweens that are happening in my UI.
Is this possible, and if so, is it possible to isolate the two versions of the Tweener class so that they don't reference the same object?

I am working on a gallery: the slider rotates the container with the images using Tweener class and easeOutCubic transition. There are 45+ images around the center of the container The movement is not smooth, especially when comparing to the way it would be with a small container. Also, and most important - A rough "snap" appears randomly in the end of the motion.

The first on is using the Tweener class and everytime that I press a button it fades out the loaded content of the previous selection, waits for it to finish and then loads the content of the button pressed. Everything works fine with this part. The second code is the on that is using an Array to dynamicaly rollover, rollout and keep selected the buttons.It was also changing the content of the mc that everything is loaded on but without this fancy fade in - fade out...!!

I have a movie clip with 15 frames. Each frame has buttons on it (mc's)... I was going to put the actions on the main timeline/stage and navigate within the MC from the main timeline. Is that possible? I can get the buttons on the first frame of the MC to work, but I can't seem to figure out how to target/make the buttons on the other frames work? I was thinking I could identify the path of the MC with the frame labels, but that doesn't seem to work. like: _root.RMChanger.(frame label).buttonOnFrame = function
I have to move a text box in and out over the MC backgrounds on the main stage... which is why I was thinking to do it this way? I've been switching back and forth bwtween AS2.0 and 3.0

I am having trouble with a job I am doing at the moment which has an mc with buttons within it. I want it so that when I roll over the mc it tweens from a small version to a larger version, and on this mc there are some buttons. At the moment I can get the mc to move but the buttons remain inactive and also the rollover states on the buttons don't work. I have attached a simpler version of what I am trying to do to this post.

I'm having problems with the flash buttons on the flash website i made for a client. or some reason the buttons in the top and bottom menu work on some people's computers but on some they don't. I don't know what to do, i had this code for all the buttons,

and they worked on my computer but on others the buttons didn't work at all so i added this code to each button also

I am using Flash CS4 with actionscript 2 to create an interacitve portfolio.I have 2 text buttons that work when I test them with "enable simple buttons." When I publish to IE these buttons won't work. I have created over 50 buttons using the same methods, they all work.

i have an if statement, an object will go to a new frame if multiple buttons are pressed

now i want it so that if one condition is met the mc will goto frame 2, if 2 conditions are met, frame 3 and if 3 conditions are met, frame 4.i know i could do this with a lot of if statements but i have a lot of movie clips to use this code on, so is there any way to write an if statement that will trigger different options if multiple conditions are met?

I have a map with a list of items to the side. I want the list to work as buttons and highlight both the button and the particular image on the map... and when you click you link to a certain location.I also want to be able to MouseOver the map, have both the image on the map and the corresponding 'button' from the list highlight - but when you click, you go to a different location than if you would have clicked from the list.I have it set up - but something is conflicting. I am creating a stand alone DVD to be used with Flash player. I am wanting to add different videos that play with different buttons. The following is the code I have for the video to play when the corresponding button is clicked..... I was wondering why my current code for calling a setInterval on a function doesn't work inside my class.I have this code inside one function, calling a second function.
intID = setInterval(selfReferential, dupe, 30, 0x000000);
The selfReferential keyword refers to the current class,but was defined previously (selfReferential = this; ).I get no errors, but the dupe() function is never called.and I had the selfReferential variable replaced with the this keyword at one point as well.

I have a class that represents a turret in the center of my screen.When I hold down SPACE, I want it to create a "bullet"-object that moves in the direction of the turrets cannon, every frame the SPACE key is held down. I am having problems with this cause I am getting this error when I am trying to create the object:
Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
This is where the error occurs:

PS: What happens is that when I press the SPACE key, the "turret" class event handler runs the function "Shoot_Chaingun" and that function creates a new Chaingun-object (which actually is a bullet), that inherits the x, y, and rotation of the turret, along with some additional varaibles, including lifetime. Then upon creation, I use "addChild(this)" to add it to the main stage, and "removeChild(this)" once it's lifetime is up.
EDIT: And also, I just realized I don't have a MovieClip linked to this chaingun class. How do I make sure that every time a chaingun object is made, the MovieClip is also loaded?

I have three movie clips that are effectively draggable popup windows. At the moment I have each one sitting on a different frame and 3 buttons that guide to the frame to start the popup window.
I kinda want something more dynamic. I'd like to be able to have all three up at once and the user be able to drag them over each other like an OS.
Is there some sample actionscripts or maybe a tutorial around?
