ActionScript 3.0 :: "custom Tween" An Object Like In Tweenlite - Just X / Y Values

I need to "tween" an object like in tweenlite, just x/y values, but have ran into a large issue.

it's kind of accurate at high 'refresh times', but low ones, or long tweens it's very inaccurate. Basically, it needs to move 300pixels/1000ms, I chose to move it every 10ms, the amount I move it is 3000/1000(ms/pixels)*ms=3pixels every 10ms, so we should get to 300pixels moved over in 1000ms. But it doesn't work- the time intervals aren't consistant, sometimes it moves it after 10ms, sometimes it doesn't catch it to move again for 30ms! Tweenlite is able to bypass it's loop being able to run every 10ms, but how?

whenever i tween something to x or y using tweenLite, it tweens it to the coordinates realtive to the object itself, how to i tween something to coordinates on the stage?

As the title says, need best way to move objects in game. Always used x and y increments. Read about tweenlite and use it, very easy. So which do I use taking into account that these games can be ported to mobiles ie: which is more optimized. It's a platform type game. I will have a. A little girl that walks and climbs
b. Little platforms that slide from side to side - you have to jump on them
c. The little girl will jump
d. Little baddies will fly around the screen.
ALSO, as the girl jumps I would like it to look natural Gravity as she falls down The correct increment on x and y as she jumps. Shouldn't their be an actionscript 3 games forum

im trying to tween a sprite to new 3D coordinates (x,y,z) using AS3 and i would like to use TweenLite to do it but i don't know how?Im not a very experienced programmer, i only started to tackle the 3d possibilities of flash 10 and Tweenlite has been far for my animations.I've been trying to use the QuaternionsPlugin like this:TweenLite.to(myMc, 2, {quaternions:{orientation:new Quaternion(x, y, z, w)}});There's the x,y,z properties but i couldn't figure out what w stand for.I tried an example with the Sprite class below but when i compile it, it says : 1180: Call to a possibly undefined method Quaternion.

I have a mc that I want to trigger a few tweens when rolled over but I want two of them to only trigger when another has finished...

Boy, it feels like I'm here a lot more than I used to be. I'm currently switching tweens to use TweenLite and what happens is I now have a null reference.
What I don't understand is how to switch this code appropriately. The object begin tweened then has to be capable of being dragged again once it's scaled back down and incapble of being dragged while it's scaled up.

i'm receiving a very noticeable performance hit when using TweenLite to tween a filter while dragging.

i understand there is a Drop Shadow Plusing with TweenLite, but that only has the ability to tween the filter on and off, rather than change the distance or blur amount of an always visible drop shadow.also, i'm not testing this on a mobile phone, i'm testing on my fast desktop in both Flash CS5 and the external debugger - both are lagging the display object, which is just a simple square shape, even after the zoomTween has completed.

I'm trying to create a simple loop that adds a random number of stars, fades them out and removes them.The script I've come up with does everything but remove them, and perhaps I need a less on adding children to a stage.
Here's what I come up with

I need a way to make the movie clips unique so I can tell my oncomplete function to remove the property clip, if I don't do this the movie will eventually slow down and crash because of so many (invisible) movieclips.

I am doing a custom function like TweenLite.to, but there is one problem. I cast that function on many objects. And they all move a little bit differently. It only happens when I don't do Math.Round(bonus_move). If I use numbers for example 0.58. It moves every stage child differently on about - 0.05.

This object is blitted to the canvas by a renderer via the copyPixels method. The object is NOT a display object. It's a Score-object (self made). The Score-object extends an object called BasicBlitArrayObject. The BasicBlitArrayObject extends an EventDispatcher (therefore no display object).I tried to apply several different TweenLite-plugins to my tempScore-object (i.e. TransformAroundCenter, colorMatrixFilter, etc.). But nothing happens. Absolutely nothing.Sometimes I get error messages (when a plugin requires a display object and my object is NOT a display object). So far so good.
According to Greensock (maker of Tweenlite) his engine can tween ANY numeric property of ANY object. So when a plugin like TransformAroundCenter requires a display object for tweening I have to modify the plugin to get it working for my non-display object (tempScore). Its pretty simple what im trying to achieve.I have a MC on Stage, which im trying to tween to different X coordinates.I've set up four TweenLite.to sequences, however for some weird reason only one is being triggered - what am I doing wrong?

I'm trying to update a dynamic text field based on the scaleY value of a mask that I'm tweening using TweenLite. Example: as the mask scales from 1 to 0, the date in my text field would change from 1970 to 1980. But it doesn't want to broadcast that scaleY property during the tween.

I have a button that I want to immediately go to full alpha and a tween that slides it out gently on rollover. The problem is that the alpha is only set for a second and then it goes back to .5 alpha. It seems like the alpha is only set for the first frame in the tween and then goes away as the tween executes the rest of the frames/seconds. How can I make the alpha instantly 100% and then remain for the remainder of the mouseover?

I have built a basic theme for my Flex app. I would like to add support for additional predefined themes. By default, app has a theme and I would like it to change when user selects a theme from dropdown list. This can be done by loading a swf file using styleManager. However, all the skins have colors hard-coded in them. So, in order to achieve this I would have to duplicate skins and change value of the colors.
Is there a better way of doing this? Can I just have a skin that will change color values dynamically based on user selection?

I have another question for the masses out there regarding trying to input values from a text input box to a custom class. I currently have a custom class named Company with properties that correspond to values in a MySQL database.
So I created an input UI on the client application that calls out for Address, Name, Zip, Phone, etc. - Then there is a button to submit to values to the database for creation. Here's my question:
How do I take each individual textinput.text property and 'mesh' them all together to a Company object to send to the server? The PHP that is written takes in an argument like this:
public function createNewCompany (Company $item) { .......
So is that even the right way to send them in? Or???
There are a total of 11 things (properties) that need to be submitted.

I've only now started using the new motion tweening and motion editor introduced in CS4 and I have a question. Say I have two MovieClips animating on the stage and I want their movements to be in sync. I've created a custom tween to one of the MovieClips and now I want to have the other MovieClip move with the exact same tween. Is there a way to copy the tween I created for MovieClip #1 and apply it to MovieClip #2? Or do I have to manually re-create the tween from scratch?
