Flash CS4 :: Can't Publish / Export Movie Properly
Jan 9, 2010Whenever, I create a project in CS4 and publish or export the movie none of the code works! Yet the same code works when I create the project in CS3 and export it.

Jul 14, 2009I simply want to put a movie on my website. I have other flash movies on my site that work fine. I import the video for progressive view. Publish the .fla. I get a .swf and an .html. I upload the files to my website and NOTHING! I check them locally and they work fine. Then I publish them again and they no longer work locally.
Flash 8 publishes them by default to my desktop. But if I use the default paths in CS4 the files don't even publish...they are nowhere to be found even with a search of my HD. I took html code from my site that was working and just changed the .swf file name. that didn't work either.

Aug 6, 2010I am trying to export the button symbol from Flash and publish swc file for Flex.I have successfully export 3 buttons which are playBtn, stopBtn, pauseBtn from flash and add swc file to my flex actionscript files.my code is:

error message....an internal build error has occurred, right click for more information.Since I add swc from flash in flex, I don't have to import these button...However, when I tried to create 1 more button (muteBtn) in flash and did the same thing again in flex, it gave me "an internal build error has occurred, right click for more information" error.When I created a var and tried to type :, there are no muteBtn datatype pop up.... I have spent 2 hours on this crazy crap and don't know WTF is going on.

Jun 13, 2011I am developing a flash media encoder. Encoder is sending 'publish' command in 'record' mode to FMS. But FMS is not giving any response (I am catching responses in wireshark) but creating the related folders in its application directory. So, I assumed that FMS has received the publish command and reay to receive the data. Then I sent some 20 media messages each of soze 500 bytes. FMS is sending 'onStatus' response for the publish after receiving the 8th media message and writing only contents of media messages from 9th to 20th.

Oct 24, 2010I have been trying to get sIFR 3 rev.436 working on my site but I stuck at publishing the movie. I did everything the instruction had told me to but when I published the movie and double clicked it to test, it failed, the movie was blank with the following error. Someone said the Action Scripts should be in the same folder as the sifr.fla, it was but it didn't help at all.

The class or interface 'sIFR' could not be loaded.I was puzzled and after hours of looping in the situation I downloaded rev.432 and tested it out. To my delight, everything turned out right and I published the movie successfully!
Actionscript 3 :: Huge Framerate Difference Between Test And Publish Movie In Flash?
Dec 24, 2010Simply put, I am making a flash midi player. I am using ENTER_FRAME for my timings. I set the framerate to 100 to ensure that the timing of each note in milliseconds is accurate. When I test the movie with CTRL + ENTER it works fine. When I publish it and open it in a browser (tested both IE and Chrome), it suddenly plays back a lot slower. I don't think it's a performance issue, since the code is very simple. If this slowdown is consistent then I can perhaps work with it so that the playback speed will be correct. Do browsers make the framerate slower or do they implement a framerate cap of some sort? What is going on?

Aug 28, 2008I'm trying to export a little animated logo to a video file.
Thing is, I'm using tweener animations, and it's all animated in actionscript. So there's nothing going on on the timeline, except for the first frame that contains the actionscript code and my objects in their starting position.
So when I export, it's just showing a static messed up image of all my elements, which should be hidden from start (due to itemMc.alpha = 0; on basically every item).

Jan 26, 2010I am importing quicktime videos into flash from premiere (cs3) and exporting them --- however, for some odd reason (and this does not happen consistently) small pink boxes show up towards the bottom of the screen for a couple frames and then disappear in the final product (Flash file). I've exported the movie several times and sometimes they do not show up at all; other times, they are present in various places in the movie. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing these bizarre artifacts in the final export?

Feb 26, 2012how I export the thing (as an image, or a movie, and in any format) I can't see the text. This is especially frustrating because text forms the entire basis of my animation.Tried converting text to movie clips, no difference. The weird part is, I was able to test the thing early on with no problem-- text displayed and everything. I should add: I have used MULTIPLE fonts... and I think this was about when things started not working.I'm working on a deadline and if you know how to fix this, it would make a big difference to my life.

When I view this movie, the animation leaves trails of color when an object moves across the screen, leaving behind little bits of color too. This does not happen when I export a SWF, but it does happen when I export a Quicktime movie. I export using Quicktime, so I can then I can export it into a flv in Adone media encorder.Why does this happen?

Can't Successfully Publish Movie?
Nov 28, 2009I'm not getting an error message when I publish my movie (CS4). I'm able to navigate to the end of the movie, so the nav bar and background image are there, but after a number of images and sound bites, other images don't appear nor do the associated sound bites play.I've removed lots of tween, which has helped some, but not enough. Jul 2, 2011I have had to go back and update my first ever Flash/ActionScript project. I was just learning so there are 1000's of lines of code all in frame. However, it worked and at least I understand what everything means. he problem:I made a bunch of changes, always doing several tests (test movie). I then made a backup of the file (luckily). I then noticed a number of more things to change, and after changing them and fixing some typos caught by the compiler, I test again. The progress bar slides across, disappears, and my movie never comes up. I checked the folder, and no .swf is there. When I publish, the same thing happens, progress bar completes, but no file was created.
Here are some findings from my own troubleshooting:-While compiling I open the folder and see the .swf is created then deleted- Backed up version still works (as well as other files) -- suggests I changed something causing the malfunction- No compiler errors (if I purposely create errant code, it will throw compiler errors though) -- contradicts conclusion of above- Copied all code (I think, didn't document which code changed too well) that was changed between backup copy and full-up-to-date copy to new blank file and compiled fine- Re-Save As-ed the full-up-to-date copy under new name and folder -- did not fix problem -- interestingly this new file is substantially smaller than original (og. 4.5 mb new 1.8 mb) -- also while trouble shooting the original file went from 4.5 mb to 3.8 mb
- Restarted flash and then computer - did not fix- Tried testing on different computer - Errant video loaded with a runtime error #2004 unhandled IOError Error #2036: Load Never Completed -- interestingly enough I don't recall there being any loader or loading going on in the whole programI did a search, and found some recommendations for a similar problem, but for them test movie would work once and then the person would have to restart flash to test again. This is not whats happening (and I did the recommendation anyway and none worked). Each post I see the same problem as here, there are never any responses (lets hope I break this trend).
Movie Clip Disappears On Preview And Publish
Feb 3, 2010In frame one of "Scene 1" i have a movie clip that acts as a scrolling image banner, scene 1 is only 1 frame long and there is no scene 2 yet, or any other frames, But, when i preview, or publish, the scrolling image movie clip disappears, for like, no reason. theres no actionscript in any of the frames at all so that wouldnt be causing it somehow.
