I'm doing some GUI screens for sci fi / fantasy displays in Flash 8 and i really need some better color libraries, anyone know where i can find some irridescent / electric color pallets that will really stand out on the screen?
View 1 Repliesrigh now i'm using Flex 4.1 libs, when compiling Flex puts all used libs into the root of the application, however - i don't want them there, i want them to be inside Flex_root/libs.
Anyone a clue where i can change the lib location?
I am working in Flash Pro CS5 developing some mobile apps. When I try to import certain of the 'fl' libraries, I get errors. For example:
import fl.motion.MatrixTransformer; Gives the error: 1172: Definition fl.motion could not be found

Can we use compiled HAXE swf's swc's in Actionscript as normal libs? I have a swf compiled from haxe code (I can try to compile it into something else SWC for ex) I want to use it as lib in AS3.

Blaze DS API ref says, they are part of the Blaze-WAR but I just can't find them.

I need to create an interactive piece. It's much more involved than this but fundamentally I need to create a slider on the left side of a window that is the color spectrum. I'll put a small triangular pointer beside it that can be moved up and down beside the spectrum. I want whatever color the slider is next to to show up in a symbol on the right. I've attached a simple image that illustrates it. So to restate it again, I'd slide the triangular symbol up and down beside the spectrum gradient on the left and whatever color it is pointing to would just show up in the symbol on the right, real time.

What I am trying to do is to have the button color change to a different color when it is on the page. The color only changes when I roll over it or hit it. Once I am on the page it changes back to the color it is on the up state.

I am assigning a color to its color field like this: lightblue_color.transform.colorTransform.color = 0x65ffff; then i am adding an eventlistener to the button like this: lightblue_color.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, ChangeColor); Then, in the function: public function ChangeColor(evnt:MouseEvent):void {trace(evnt.target.transform.colorTransform.color);} It prints 0. Why is that? Shouldn't it print 0x65ffff or do i need to do some type conversions?

I have an issue working with the setStyle() on the modalTransprancyColor property. The module did not run on different variations of hexadecimal code, only one that seems to work is 0xDDDDDD. Anything else, this line of code will crash Flash.

i would like to know if it is possible to have a letter that is made up of multiple colors. for example above you will see a hebrew letter. the DOT underneath it is actually part of the letter, but it is a different color.is it possible to have this same functionality in flash? what i would need to do is upload an XML file with all the words, and i would need all the dots below the letters to be a different color

The difference here are two things, the earlier error is while converting flash event to custom event and now this one is while converting custom event to flash event and secondly, I have no clue why it is trying to convert to the mouseevent where I am just dispatching my custom event with proper listeners.

Then, you can stick the text on the movie and make a new one. During the creation of the movie clip holding the created text, all the format parameters of the text are passed to the movieclip. When I call back the .color parameter, it shows a value that isn't hex nor RGB... I've been googling for the last hour trying to find how to convert this back to RGB or hex values with no success.
