I've been trying to use random to make something happen a certain percentage of the time. For example, for making the scientist go to frame 91 half the time and 181 the other half, I was using this code:
Say you have a document class, and a customMenu class. If they import some of the same classes, would it be less overhead if everything was in the document class? Thus imports only happen one time?
I'm making an Elder Scrolls type game and I want my enemies to hurt me after a certain time.So pretend like 5 seconds after they come on the stage they would take 5 hp off me.Then when one of the enemies die it stops until another enemy comes on the stage then it counts how long its been on the stage.This is what I have so far:
Actionscript Code: var tmr1:Timer=new Timer(2800); var tmr2:Timer=new Timer(5000);
I currently have a large picture on screen which I intend to show 1/3 at a time. Each time you click a button the picture tweens up 1/3. Basically what I want to happen is, on the 4th click, once the picture has been seen in its entirety I want it to vanish. The only piece of code I need is, how to make a new event happen on the 4th click.
I am trying to create a public function, i have a decument class with all of my variables in it, I have worked out how to bring in external .swf files, now I need a way to have an even trigger something on a separate .swf So at the moment I have a flunction that works on the parent
stage.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE, mousePosition); function mousePosition(event:MouseEvent) { if(mouseX>=125)
1. Each dog has an email assigned to it for the person.
2. Clicking on a dog (or alternatively "dragging it"), puts it in the doghouse and moves the existing dog out to the now empty location.
3. Once moved in, ther should be a button presented to create an email to the person saying they have been placed in the doghouse (so..like..mailto??).
4. Maybe an image of the doghouse with them in it could attached to the email.
5. LATER: The state of the page could be kept so future visitors know that the person is in the Doghouse.
I have an old JavaScript page that kind of shows the functions:
FAMILY DOGHOUSE
Also, what I have done in FLASH (so far) is also shown at the bottom of the page.
1. Not sure how to make the action wait for the mouse click or drag!
2. Also, maybe a button, once the people decide who goes in the doghouse, to submit and fire the email??
When I chose this little project I thought it was easy, but I realize I have not a clue how to begin beyond making buttons and tweens.
How to alter the onPress to make things happen automatically when the page loads? Basically here my_btn (on frame 1) is used to send data to the server. I need it to happen automatically when the page opens in the browser.
I have a simple animation where 5 objects animate via TimelineLite. However, I can't find a way to have better_mc animate over top of the other 4 objects.. Here's my code:
import com.greensock.*;import com.greensock.easing.*; var timeline:TimelineLite = new TimelineLite(); timeline.append(TweenLite.to(better_mc,2,{alpha:1,
I want to use the TimelineLite class when I press a button. I have this code in the main timeline:
Code: TweenLite.delayedCall(0, myFunction, ["param1", 2]); function myFunction(param1:String, param2:Number):void {
[Code].....
This code allows me to send a movieclip called my_mc to a frame that I want with a time delay. How can I do to call the function by pressing a button and not with a delayed call?
What I want is a hint how to make a specific thing happen while clicking a specific button. Like "if I click button 1, do this". Would like to use this script though I'm gonna add buttons over time and this is an easy way to have the functionality working.
Here's the code:
Attach Code
function hitButton(btn) { btn.onRollOver = function() { this.colorTo (0xC4006A);
orry couldn't resist. Back to AS3, i am using function flyCamera() to simply - overview of 4 cubes- fly into/thru each one of themThe second part looks just like squares being tweened. How can make the animation a bit more sexier??
I have a shape on a layer and I have used a bunch of motion tweens on it. I need to dynamically move that shape but I can not figure out a way to accomplish this. Have I painted myself into a corner with this one?
I have Adobe Flash CS 5 and have been having difficulties trying to get a created tween to move at a constant speed. I have been converting a graphic I've created to a symbol and turning it into a motion tween, however I have only figured out how to move the tween on a frame by frame basis. Is there a way I can map out the full trajectory of the tween and then set it to travel along that pathway at a constant speed rather than moving from point to point within a certain number of frames? The desired result is a green circle that will bounce off the edges of the computer screen/window as it moves along at a constant speed in the appropriate direction. I am a flash novice and have been fiddling with the program for a few days
When I want to ask for a small fee for my app, I'm not allowed to use TweenLite. So I started thinking I could probably replace the tweens with Flash's built-in Tweens. BUT I'm also using rotationY. Flash doesn't support this as far as I know. Are there Tween engines out there with a copyleft?
I'm looking for some actionscript that will move a clip from one point to another, but in a curve. I've done one that tweens the x and y positions as well as the scaleX and scaleY that sort of does this.
Seems I've seen this sort of thing on YouTube at the end of watching a video. A set of small videos appear, they scale up in size and move to a new position, but they go up, and then down smoothly (thus, a 'curve');
is there a way in as3 to run multiple tweens at the same time without them crashing? eg. I had a problem with a movie clip.. on mouse over it would glow, and if clicked it would move to another place... the problem was if the user clicked the clip while it was glowing, the "glow" tween was interupted and the clip moved to another place but kept the glow... another eg. if i play an embedded video at the same time an animaton of some sort starts at another part of the screen, they both slow down.... so basicly, is there a way to make multiple tweens and/or videos run smooth at the sam time?
I have a movieclip with an image fading in and out (using an actionscript tween class set to yoyo). This movieclip is loaded into a dummy movieclip when a button is pressed. The first time you click the button the fading movieclip plays as it should, fading in and out continuously. However, the second or subsequent times the button is clicked the fading movieclip goes crazy, half fading in/out and half jumping from one alpha value to another.
I'm using ActionScript 2 and I already placed the progress bar on the stage assigned it the instance name ProgressBar0 but i'm confused on how to give it a label, have it start at a certain time and end at a certain and show the percentage complete in the label.
I have downloaded the "greensock-as3.zip" extracted it and tried to run the following file to install the plug-in. But it throws an error "Unexpect file format".
i am new in flash development, i heard that Greensock lib is the best one. But when am trying to download its really confusing. there are a lot of names like
I'm working on a slide show which includes 3 sections that fade in and out automatically as well as can be navigated via buttons.Everything is working fine until I include a 3d tween animation of a hanging sign.it doesn't have any action script - just a 3d tween where the sign swings however once I include it in the slide show, the whole thing goes crazy:The fade in and out of tweens don't work.sometimes the slide show skips and everything start moving very fast as if the timeline was fast forwarded... can someone please helpe me and point me in the right direction of where to even start trouble shooting it? The problem is that it acts as if there was some kind of script added however there's no action script included in the hanging sign.
Using the greensock tween engine I have a little effect going over my button. It works when I publish on my desktop. But stops working when I import the swf into my main swf. It's the scaling e.target, that is not working!
