Dec 29, 2009i wanted to do a simple action that when you press a button a video appears, it's just that. But I don't have enough knowledge about flash and it's scripts.

Apr 27, 2011How would I make a simple button that when clicked once, acts as if you'd double clicked a video file in explorer, as in it either activates your video player of choice, or plays it immediatly if it's already open.

I want to tell a button that if on press the the video is in normal screen mode then gotoAndStop(2). But if the video is in full screen and the frame on root is frame 1 then gotoAndStop 2. Aug 10, 2011Maybe the title is not self explanatory but in most iphone games eg you click the correct example and you see a +100 points mc appear and rise and alpha out. I did this with a png done in photoshop BUT not all goes well - it doesn't work.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Papervison - Video Material - Pause - Videos To Be Stopped At The Beginning When It Appears
Feb 16, 2009I have a cube built in papervision. It has a video on each side. I want the videos to be stopped at the beginning when it appears. I thought I could just use pause on the stream. ncStream2.pause(); no luck. When I do that I just get a black box. There is no black at the beginning of the videos. I do not think the papervision part is really a big deal. It's probably just a straight forward AS3 and video problem.

Nov 22, 2010I just met a piece of error log when I was trying to resume the paused mp4 streaming. Here is the log from the server:

I'm using Red5 newest 0.9.1 final for mac os x to stream the H.264/AAC encoded MP4 file to my flash app.
And there's no problem when I'm resuming the .flv file.

Mar 14, 2007I'm loading in 5 jpegs from an external file using "loadMovie" and i have 5 corresponding buttons (1-5) to load them with.
I want to change the jpeg the button loads in depending whether a separate navigation button has been pressed -
i.e.
navigation buttons:
-motorbike pics
-car pics
-lorry pics
If a user clicked on "car pics" then the loading buttons 1 to 5 would load "car1.jpg", "car2.jpg" and so on...
similarly if the user clicked on "lorry pics", the same loading buttons 1 to 5 would load "lorry1.jpg" and "lorry2.jpg"

May 29, 2008i have a set of buttons cranked out from and XML file. how can i emulate, in code, a press on one of those buttons? i'd like to 'press' one of them for an initial state so that the list it controls will load first off instead of waiting for the person to click it manually and THEN show the list it's connected to. thing is, the first loaded list is going to be random, so i need to 'press' what on another day/load would be a button that the user would press themselves.
in other words, i have 3 buttons. on random, i have to 'press', say button 2, to start. users can press 1 or 3 and then 2 again if they like. another time, it's button 1 that gets 'pressed' on load, etc. make sense? i have a sneaking suspicion it might be easy... or stupidly convoluted.

The whole actual functioning menu works great as it is fairly simple to create, but what I can't get to work is a button within the menu that drops down.I first saw this example in a flash movie I downloaded here and have attempted to basically recreate it, except to not use action script on the buttons themselves, but rather from the main time line for good coding practice.As you can see pressing the green button after the menu appears does nothing instead of tracing "works".

Apr 5, 2011The code runs fine, but the problem I'm having is that the text box that is suppose to go onto of my answer buttons is behind the button itself... however, if I change two lines of code around, the answer validation code doesn't pick up the which answer was clicked (it returns undefined). This is infuriating!Look for the line "//INSERT HERE." If I take the line, "var answerField:TextField = createText(answer,answerFormat,answerSprite,0,0,450);" and put it there instead, it returns the right answers (doesn't return undefined), but I can no longer see the text. I've included the createText function as well.

May 13, 2010I have set the Progressive-Download video instead of Streaming-Video (because my webserver provider "aruba.it" doesn't offer streaming videos), in Flash CS4 Professional, and exported to Dreamweaver CS4. I have also inserted the HTML code in Dreamweaver CS4 to enable FullScreen Playback of Flash .flv Videos.Now I have a problem:
- When the webpage loads into Internet Explorer 7, it take much time to load all the videos at same time!
Thus I want this:
- I want that the videos start to load just when I press the Play button, individually, not at same time.- I don't not want that start the load immediately when the webpage opens in IE7. - I want that the videos start to load content in the same manner of YouTube videos, just when I press play.
