Professional :: Flash Movie Not Displayed Correctly In IE 8 On Some Windows OS

I'm using CS4 to export a basic flash movie with embed tags pre scripted. And the issue is that on some OS systems using Vista or Windows 7 and IE 8 as a primary browser, it appears that IE 8 is not displaying the flash banner completely.... its CROPPING it off... This is very strange because the banner works fine in FireFox, IE7,Opera,Chrome but not I.E.8 on some OS systems...
If you google "Flash not displaying correctly in IE 8" you'll get alot of people with the same issues but no real definate fix...
what i could try? Do i need different flash embed tags? Or is this a user issue?

this is the first time I'm actully utlizing XML with a pix gallery. I exeprience problems when surfing the gallery in a browser, however, not when I'm just executing the swf file. The problem is that some of the pictures are not displayed correctly.

I have some working code that I created in C and ported over to the PSP. I decided that I wanted to work with it in flash and ported it over to AS3.0. It took me a bit to get used to the graphics commands but over the course of a few days I managed to get the code typed in. I compiled it and watched my baby come to life in a new environment. But there was something wrong, everything looked correct but felt wrong. I looked closer and saw what the problem was. When I run the program this is how flash displays the mazeThe starting position is the bottom left corner. Which in flash terms is 13,1. Why oh why is flash rotating and then inverting the map? If row = 13 and col = 1, then [row-1][col] should equal 12,1. I've broken it down and analyzed it till my brain hurt... I can not find any reason for this bizarre behavior... All the program does is interpret the 1's and 0's to know where to place a wall. If the square has a 1 then a wall goes there, if not then its open and the player can walk there. I look at the surrounding squares and then draw what I see... no rotating and no inverting is done.I remind you that the code works as intended in C. So I don't think its a coding issue.

I'm trying to export a Flash movie as a .mov file. The animation is not that big but there are strange display issues. As the character moves across the screen, there are bits and pieces left on the screen from the previous movements. It's just not rendering correctly and looks terrible. I can't seem to fix it and have been playing with the Format settings etc. There's always the junk left on the screen.

I use Flash CS4,Now Flash CS4 occurs problems,when I choose Rectangle Tool,and I choose Paint Bucket Tool in FILL AND STROKE box,I find color panel is not show correctly,the last line 'linear example icons' show not correct,some icons don't show any linears,and some icons are gray box! Ever since I`ve changed to flash cs4, every windows projector publish I make takes a really long time to open and play an animation.I`ts just very slow. When I created stuff on flash cs3, I had no problems running published projects.
Can anyone help me here? It`s just that I searched for a lot of forum questions just like mine on other web sites and none could . Since your the developers os this product I would like to see what you`ve got to say about this.

Last week I allowed the latest Flash upgrade to be installed on my pc. And haven't been able to view any webpage using IE9.0.8112.16421 without all adverst or video screens flashing on and off. I can't make them go away. Also the video screen stays stuck in the top left corner of the screen, making it impossible to see or use anything under it.I uninstalled the Flash and reinstalled it. Still no joy.I tried to find the older - working perfectly - Flash version but can't find or reinstall it.

I downloaded a XML based website flash template and made some modifications to it. With this template there was few fonts included in separate folder (I had to install them to view swf and edit fla correctly) after all my mods done I published it to swf file and opened local file with browser, everything was working perfectly at this moment. Then I asked my friend if it could upload it on his server to check if this website looks the same on the web. I noticed that text (which is written with custom font that was included) is either missing or misplaced

I'm edit a flash file that uses about 11 different fonts. When I toss it into the editor and publish it some characters are missing from the product, such as W's and M's. I've installed the fonts that were included with the flash file into windows7.

ever since i got windows 7, my drawing wacom tablet lags on flash cs4 when i use the pencil tool and i don't know why it's doing that and i cannot see what i'm drawing because of this lag. I have updated my video card and my wacom tablet driver to windows 7 and still no luck. It worked perfectly on vista but i do not want to go back to vista.

I brought my son a mini laptop for xmas that runs Windows CE , some of the websites he wants to go onto require "flash" , but when I try to install flash laptop says its not a valid Windows CE file.
Is it right that I need to install "flash lite" if so what version and where can I obtain it as I cant find download link on this site. If not is there any other way I can get these websites to work.

I am using Windows 7 Professional and Flash CS4. I installed the flash player debugger, now I can't get rid of it. It slowed Flash down to a crawl. I ran the uninstall_flash_player found on this site. No effect. Flash is still really slow and still shows a ton of information in the output screen when I compile.

Hello Every Body. I have a problem launching flash cs5 and cs5.5 on windows vista home premium edition. When i launch it, the register screen appears(the one that tells the trial time left) but the flash main window always stays black (or white)and is not responding. I had it working about one week ago and i can't figure out what is the problem .It tried reinstalling couple of times without succes. I also tried deleting the left flash cs5 program files after uninstall but it didn't work . I would need your advice. Here is the screen as it appears:

Is it possible in a way to regulate the frames per second of a movie that is displayed within a movie? As far as I can see one can define FPS at design time, but if a movie that is loaded by that movie, it automatically runs as fast or slow as the movie that actually calls it. Is there a way to slow a movie down or make it speed up, independently from the movie that calls it?

I have received a CD Rom with an .exe file on it. I only have an old Windows XP box (from 2001) but it doesn't play on it Is that possible? Do I need to find a vista box?houldn't these flash exe files be XP compatible? I need to autorun these when the CD is inserted.If it were a single .exe and if i wanted to load it in windows machine it would be a piece of cake.But I have 2 files, and I wanna load it from a single CD. am trying to figure out how to fix a problem. I have my computer hooked upto the television to watch shows and movies. However playing flash related content always freezes when in full screen mode. This includes if something is playing or if the movie has ended and the player is staying in full screen mode.I have tried on IE8, Firefox and Safari. I've tried downloading the newest Adobe Flash Player 10 on IE8 on my Windows Vista and it's not working.It downloads but when I go back to hulu.com it says I still have to download the latest version. I've tried unistalling and installing it (several times)... I've made sure that Shockwave is enabled under Internet settings... I've also tried unistalling IE8 and reinstalling without the updates... and still nothing.I even tried installing Flash 10 on IE7, still nothing worked.
I have Windows Vista 32 bit and not terribly computer savvy.Hulu works fine when I use Firefox, but it's not working on IE8. I need it to work on IE8 in order to stream video from hulu on our Wii through PlayOn TV.

I am currently having a problem when launching the trial version of flash cs5.5 . The screen that says the timeleft at my trial comes up but the flash cs5.5 screen stays black and is "not responding". About two weeks ago, it worked, so i don't know what is happening. All my other programs work. I tried to reinstall it, to delete the left flash cs5.5 program files after the uninstall and many other things, but it dosen't work.Here is a screen capture of the flash cs5.5 blackscreen. notice that in the frame of the window it tells" not responding".

Ok the issue I'm having with flash is that the windows on the right side of my flash window do not snap up when I collapse a window. I am attaching a screen shot to better explain this issue.As you can see I have the color panel collapsed up, when I expand this panel and it goes down everything shifts down. however when I collapse it back up a huge gap is left behind in CS5.5 as is displayed in screen shot number 2. In CS4 I never had this problem. I could expand and collapse panels as I saw fit with no problems what so ever. Everytime now that I expand a panel and collapse it, the library or other panels do not move up with the collapsing. This causes a workspace issue. and forces me to drag up the library via the black line that is just above it but below the align panel so that I have better access to my library or properties panel for when I'm working. I find this highly annoying and would like it if there could be a fix produced to make it so this collapsing issue can be fixed and I don't have to waste time dragging up the library/properties panel everytime I need to access stuff in my library when I have a huge list of graphics I'm going through.
