I want to make an e-card for a marriage in flash. The card opens from the top. How do i give an effect of the card being opened on click? or even the card being opened automatically!
View 1 RepliesI installed Adobe Flash CS5.5 a couple of days back...Trying to learn a few basic tricks such as motion tween (messed up things with the bone tool though)..Well the problem is, a friend of mine made a 3D drawing in Solid Works(a modelling software). It is a sort of box, now he wants me to make a flash animation for the box which starts from a sheet of paper and folds into a box and then the camera zooms out.
Now i have no idea how to do that..jpg file can be made and imported to flash...but as it will be an imported file how can it be manipulated to achieve the final task....taking screen shots of the box at various stages of solid works can be done and then played all together in flash baut it would be very tiresome and time consuming...
I dont want anyone to make it for me just guide me what tools and tutorials to look at.
I am trying to make a banner where two colored squares roll across the screen. The first blue square does just fine, however when trying the same thing with a green square (in a different layer) it does ok the first half of the tween, but reverses direction in the second half (where I placed a keyframe)- even though I rotated the green square the same way as the first half.

I'm trying to make a paper doll sort of program. I've got a bunch of PNGs of clothes cut out and I'd like to dynamically load them in with attachMovie. So I imported the PNGs into my project, but when I try to export them for ActionScript, the checkbox to do so is greyed out.

On my old computer (Windows XP) I was using Flashpaper to convert jpg files to swf files that can be panned and zoomed. It worked great for my website. Here is an example. [URL] I just purchased Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Premium for my new computer (Windows 7). I was told that it included the ability of Flashpaper to create the pan/zoom swf files. I can't find this ability. Please tell me where it is located or that I need to purchase Flashpaper for my new computer. Please note, I use Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver, but the only Flash I use is the swf to pan and zoom via Flashpaper. Please keep this in mind when answering my question, i.e. I probably need specifics if the functionality is located in Flash.

The way I constructed the code heBecause each Movie Clip is individually handled, I was explained by Ned Murphy on this forum that I need to insert code for each individual clip to send it back to start when it comes off the stage because it is structured to go to infinity with the movie symbols continuing on their path.I get that. ittle code to add was provided for an example clip that started at the top of the stage and went down, then when it goes off the stage, go back. In this case it was for MovieClip_1 (Out of 15) The red was the additional code (Provided by Ned Murphy who is IMHO a Guru here) that was added :

I'm trying to make about a minute long animation of two koi fish.
1. Fish slowly swim in frame
2. Fish swim in circle a couple times
3. 4 food pellets drop into water
4. Fish eat them one at a time
5. Fish slowly swim out of frame
I've finished step 2, but now I want to go back and do step 1. I've attatched a picture of my koi and I was wondering if there was any way I could flip the image of them and tween them to make it look like the fish were moving their bodies all in flash.
ok lets say you create a button that when held down play an animation of 20 frames if realsed it goes to frame one and stops if held down it plays out this animation. for the topic lets say you have a fire animation and you want the fire to apear and if the user hold its down the animation reaches the end of the time line and loops back and plays the last 5 frames of the animation and as soon as it is let go it goes to and stops at frame one. Well i know how to make a button that when held down plays out an animation. And i know how to say when released goes to and stops at frame one. What i dont know how to do is to loop the fire at the last 5 or 6 frames so the user can hold it down all day long and play out that animation.

And is there something special I have to do in the actionscript of the start and stop buttons so that the "inner" looping animation will start and stop with the "outer" main animation?
View 1 RepliesOn a horizontal bar, text scrolls from left to right, continuously. The text is a fixed string of city names, and I've made it so that it loops nicely. This horizontal bar with scrolling text is part of a vertical animation, scrolling the bar in and out of view. The vertical tween starts after two seconds. When the vertical tween starts, the horizontal animation has started as well. At the beginning and end of the vertical tween, the horizontal tween starts over. I want it to continu.

View 3 RepliesMy MC button is now working as expected with one problem... when I click the mouse button when over a MC button then roll the mouse off the button and release the mouse button, the button stays 'hilighted' (in frame 3 of the button MC) until you roll the mouse over it again.I'd like it to stay highlighted only as long as the cursor is over the button and the mouse button is held down...when you roll the mouse cursor off the button it should release it and send it back to frame one of the button MC. Does that make sense?Here is the code:

View 2 RepliesI have several flash based lessons that I have created that are being distributed online to several companies. Each lesson has a video that is played within the lesson through the flvplayback control. The videos were supplied by a third party and some of the videos are encoded at 384K and some are at 568K.
One company that is attempting to view the lessons is seeing the following behavior. The video plays for approximately 20 seconds then suddenly the video drops out and the audio continues to play. With the audio still playing the video scrubber rolls back and attempts to start the video again but all that comes through is the audio track again. Now there are 2 instances of the audio playing with no video. This happens a third time and finally keeps going until all the audio is played out.
The IT staff at the company has showed me a fiddler log that shows the flash player making a connection out to Akamai to retrieve the video and then rolling from port 80 to port 1935 and finally to port 443. This would explain the three audio tracks playing
I have read that the flash player will attempt to gather the stream from the stated rtmp location and then if it encounters an issue with a proxy or firewall it will attempt the other ports.So I am not sure if there is anything I can do by design or programatically to alleviate this issue. It appears to me that the company attempting to view this video has some kind of bandwidth throttling program in place that is kicking off this behavior in the flash player.
Is it possible to prevent the flash player from making the three attempts? Would a sudden cut of bandwidth prompt the player to attempt to roll to another port if a network load balancing program suddenly kicked in? If it is bandwidth is that why the audio stream continues to play because there is enough bandwidth for the audio track to get through, but not the video?
I have attached a screen shot of the sniffer output so you can see the rolling ports thing.
