Feb 18, 2010There are 9 movie clips in each square (object) and the color in each movie clip can be changed by mouse click. However, if I want to magnify one of the squares by clicking on that, then I can click on each movie clips to change the color. How can I do it?? Can I create another movie clip and cover the square for clicking to magnify?

Feb 2, 2012I am in CS5 on an iMac. I am a beginner at Flash and trying to learn how to do specific tasks asked of me by my supervisor just by using the Adobe forums. This is what they want me to do: Show am image of a postcard that we sell, then have it morph into a poster (much larger) with a customizable area highlighted. I have learned how to put the postcard image on the stage and motion tween it to a larger version of itself, but I need that larger version to actually be a different image. Is there a way I can do this in CS5?

Oct 11, 2011I want to basiclly create a spot the differance game but instead of the user being able to just click on side of the pictures to get the answer, i want them to click on one picture and than the other picture to get the answer. So basiclly they have to click on the picture on the left and than on the right to mark something as a answer which would link both pictures. Or another example, is linking two tables. If i had two tables up and the objective was for the user to link one line of the table to another on the other table, it would link and draw a link from one side to the other showing the link.

Professional :: Get Rollover Text To Show Pictures?
Mar 30, 2010The original flash has a publish setting to Flash Player 5, and I have to have the publish setting set to Flash Player 8 (actionscript 2). The original flash works with the Flash Player 5 setting however when I change it the rollover text to picture stops working.

Professional :: Pictures Effect Keeps Moving On Top Of The Picture?
May 17, 2010Ugh how to start...Each thumbnail image is a link which enlarges to an easel to the right with a neat effect. If you move the cursor over a thumbnail it has a little effect on it (very transparent "snow" like on a TV screen) I don't know why Flash keeps "moving" (if you call it that) the snow effect on top of the thumbnails when I open the file at a later time. All I remember doing is just editing simple text and swapping one bitmap thats not even tied to the thumbnails.
I can still click the thumbnails and they open to the right just fine. I just don't get why the "effect/link" moves on top of the thumbnails. If I delete the snow it deletes every effect on the website so they won't enlarge to the right. I don't care if I lose the effect but I don't remember/know how to make each thumbnail a link so they open on the spot I want.

Everytime you refresh the screen or go to another page a new add appears. What I'm wondering if I can take several pictures and make them into swf file. What I'm trying to accomplish is a rotating banner so you don't have to refresh to see the new ads.

Jan 16, 2009I'm using a template provided by the kind folks at [URL]. I have done a lot of changes to the template (and I still have more cosmetic ones to go) but I like the way it is set up.
I have a portfolio page where I would like to display videos. The page is currently set up to show images and their descriptions with the click of a thumbnail. I would like it to show movies and their description with the click of the thumbnail.
I created the flash video player, I have not gone into the xml playlist though. Is there a way instead to have user trigger the movies to play in the video player with the click of a thumbnail?
Also, when users click another thumbnail ( to see another movie) or exit this page entirely to go to another flash page on my website, is there a command so the movie will stop playing when they do something else?

Flash :: Professional - Create A New Frame Using CS5 On A Mac So Can Add More Pictures To Website?
Jul 30, 2011I have what I hope is a fairly straight forward question that I hope you can answer if you write code with a Mac or are at least familiar with the process on a Mac? The person I have been working with to create my photography website uses a PC. Here is the problem. I am trying to use my Mac in order to create frames so that I can add 5 more images to a portfolio that presently has 15 images.
The code is in an index.fla file. If I want to create a new frame in the index.fla, let's say LOAD CODE 381 and want to use the same text that is already present in LOAD CODE 380 but with a few edits, I have no trouble going to the Action-Movie Clip and finding LOAD CODE 380 in the left hand column. The problem is, on a Mac, how do I create frame LOAD CODE 381 and then how do I copy and paste the text from LOAD CODE 380 into LOAD CODE 381? It looks like on a PC one can open LOAD CODE 380 in the Action-Movie Clip, highlight the text then right click on the red rectangular box in the timeline. By doing so (on a PC) one sees a drop down menu that gives the option to "copy key frame". What is the equivalent of the "copy key frame" on a Mac? I can see where on the Mac you can go to Edit >copy. Is this the equivalent of "copy key frame" on a PC? If so, once I "copy" the text how do I create the new LOAD CODE 381 so that I can paste the text into the new frame?

Jan 24, 2010I have an ActionScript 2.0 project with a very simple timeline Alpha Tween ("Classic tween" in CS4) of a movie clip. I need to reposition the movie clip dynamically when the movie is launched, before the Tween is executed (as in "x_mc._x = 100;").
I found out that after changing the clip position the Alpha Tween as well as the Alpha final value are totally ingored. The clip is shown in the updated position but remains throughout in the Alpha setting of the first keyframe (even when it reaches the last keyframe which has a different Alpha setting). I verified that the Tween itself is executed by placing Trace statements at both keyframes. If I remove the repositioning statement, the Alpha Tween works fine (but of course in the original position which is wrong)
