I have Developed a vertical XML Gallery. But I am not able to Get all the images in xml file, By default Gallery is moving but I want that to be in stand Mode and whenever the Mouse move up gallery should move up and whenever the mouse move down gallery should move down.

I am facing a problem in flex 4.1 sdk. (thou I was using flex 4.5 sdk, but for some reasons I had to use 4.1, I can explain that too, but its relevant to the problem I am facing now) I fixed all the errors that I got when I complied my code in Flex 4.5 to Flex 4.1, now I dont get any error. Basically most of the error were because there is no Image class implemented using the Spark architecture in Flex 4.1. So, I switched to mx.controls.Images class.
Now I dont get any errors, but after building the project, and running it, I do not see any images in the entire application. I also compiled the code again with 4.5 (with mx.control.Images class) I see the images properly.

When I upload the HTML and SWF file to my webhost (Just Host), however, it doesn't load the images!!! Is there another line(s) of code that needs to be added or is there something wrog with the webhost? to reduce the size of my website which is my ultimate goal.

I know my app is getting invoked and it appears to work fine when I hardcode the image url into the flash app. But the query method just does not seem to be working!

For some reason I am unable to create a FLV file from a MP4 file with high bitrate. I even created a custom setting and specified bitrate as 2500 but the output file is always around 775.

I am having issues opening up fla files using Adobe cs3.
Scenario: The company I work for recently attained a client that has a website with flash programming on it. The client recently asked to have improvements made to their site. Part of the improvement deals with modifying the flash program. The client was able to hand over to the company I work for the source for their site which includes the adobe files for the flash program.
When I attempt to access the main fla program of the client's website, i receive the following message:"an error occurred opening the file."
what options are available for me to attempt to read the fla file?
I made a flash-file that will load a file externaly (http://.../locus.f4v). When I publish that flash file it renders a locus.swf, locus.index and a SkinOverAllNoFullNoCaption.swf (skin).When I upload everything works fine. But to easily manage all of my video's I can't have them lying arround and would like them in a folder. So I create a folder locusvideos. I change all the links in the html-file to locusvideos/... .swf but it just shows an empty page.so where are all the files at? locus.html (is in the most top folder)

View 1 Repliesim able to pull in an xml file, and push all the data in to arrays. Im pulling out this data and performing calculations on it. Now, iv created a varialble called _global.newLocation = _global.percentage*100;
which equals my percentage change, multiplyed by 100. It works because i have used trace and you can see it.
I would like to then take all these newLocations and put these in to an array so i can refer to them by their index but i just cant seem to get it to work?
i am loading some pages/images from some folder whose path is specified in the Xml used like this:

I am using Chinese /Japanese text in this Now the problem is that when i run it in the flash it loads those pages and when i load it in the browser then that file doesn't load anything.
in my timeline i have two orbs transforming into arrows. it works, i watch it, then i'm like, ok, all good time to save. i save. exit/open, and come to find that my orbs were not transforming. i looked on the timeline and they are not set to transform, so i redid the shape tween, save,exit open and the same thing. so why won't my file save the shape tweens? i'm previewing it in cs5.
--edit--for some reason it works in the swf file, but not the fla file.

If I use code behind( default.aspx default.aspx.cs) in a different solution with the same folder strucuture, browser is able to load the flash file.

What I want to do is take the function PlantGrass and place it in another action script file [URL] to help organize my functions and classes. So, I opened the text file and started to make changes to certain text and when I view the changes I noticed that certain letters and characters are not being displayed such as the letter w and the question mark ? and other letetrs.here is an example of the text I included in the text file:
