ActionScript 3.0 :: Movieclip Able To Check If Land On The Correct Movieclip?

I have 8 movieclip on stage, 4 of them being the contents, and the other 4 being the target. I have to drag all of the 4 contents, into the target. apparently, i am able to do that, but the problem i'm facing right now, is the button that is on stage, is suppose to check if the movieclip are in the right place, which i set them.

I understand the developer has no control over flash player's garbage collection routine, but whats the best way to ensure you've deleted a movie clip and done pretty much everything you can? I have two dynamic textfield and they are both within two movieclips because I have action to rotate , enlarge and move the related movieclip so that the text changed accordingly.
But there is problem like after I record the position after modification to database and retrieve them back to the flashpage. The position of the movieclips are changed or maybe it is the textfield's position within the movieclips are changed which I have no exact idea what happened.
So could any one who can give some suggesion how should I arrange the textfield within the movieclip and how to keep track of the right position after enlargement or rotations,etc then?
Isn't it I have to consider the relative position of the textfield to the movieclip at the beginning.

I created two empty Sprites to serve as layers, bottom_spr and top_spr. When clicking a button, a MovieClip appears and follows your mouse, until you click, then its position is fixed. As soon as the button is clicked, I addChild the MovieClip to the correct Sprite. Unfortunately, the layer system doesn't see to work, because they are layered in the order I place them, the Sprites don't seem to influence it. How is this possible?

I have a movieclip created with the following code:

stage.addChild (thumbContainer);
If the window gets larger/smaller I want everything back in place. So I have an stage Event Listener. Now I want to see if this mc exists to put back in place. I've tried different ways but keep getting an error that does not exist.1120: Access of undefined property thumbContainer.

Here is what is happening:
1. click on a thumbnail and an image loads from the library
2. click on a different number and another image loads from the gallery
I don't know how to remove the first image that is loaded.
The images load on top of each other. How can I check if there is already an image loaded? and if there is an image loaded how do I remove that image and load the next image? I'm sure it is a boolean thing but I can't figuare it out.[code]...

Is there a way to check if a movie clip has already been loaded, and then skip it if it has? Attached is my swf. The front info text should only fade away once, not every time someone clicks on a button. Once they're already in a gallery, it shouldn't come up again.

In AS2, I'd create a movieclip and give it an instance name. Then all I'd have to do for example is, check if _root["myinstance"+i] == undefined but in AS3, if i'm dynamically creating 10 movieclips, how do i check to see if it already exists?

I have main flash file (main.swf) that will load movie clips dynamically one after the other from a source xml file. I need to check if the movie clip currently loaded is finished so that the main.swf will trigger the code to load the other movie clip. I can use both emptyMovieClip or loader component with contentPath to load the external swf files.

I have a frame that plays and checks and prints the width of a movieclip, but the movieclip is constantly changing size, so I would like the textfield to show the movieclip width as is scales. I would assume I need to create a method of looping the code that checks the width, maybe a setinterval?

I have a movie clip which has onRelease, onRollOver and on onRollOut functions associated with it. Within that movieclip I also have a checkbox, but the checkbox does not check when I click on it. When i disable the "on" functions, the checkbox is then working as normal.
Is there a way I could have the "on" functions and the checkbox working simultaniously?
