Professional :: Resize The .swf File?

I've finished my flash site using a resolution of 1024x768: my professor wasn't so happy of a resolution so "high" (even if today is something like standard) since somebody might still have an old monitor with low res.Since I really don't want to get a bad vote I wanted to change the resolution to 1000x550 because with that res a 1024x768 monitor still can see everything: then I've exported my .swf file and then into the .HTML file I've changed the width and height fields.

I have one problem with my swf file which I created,I created the file useing the dimentions 1024x768, for pc I need these mentions the same swf file I want to use it in some other divise which will support only 480x272 dimentions.so, without creating the same file with these dimentions, is there any posible way to resize the swf file while publishing and the devise which I want to play the swf file it will support only swf format.

I'm not a huge flash expert by any means, but I am working on some banner and I need to take the larger 336x280 banners and resize them to 300x250. I've change the size of the stage and shrinking down the bitmaps etc is fine. The issue I am having is the aminated graphics and buttons I have on the stage. I've tried editing multiple frames, onions skins .etc to do it, but no matter what the animation will still only edit the first place I clicked on the symbol. So it goes from the smaller size and animates to the larger size and its original position on the old size.
It seems there must be a way to adjust animations without having to redo them all. Right?

I'm trying to resize an animation I have larger, it has 12 layers, and 20 frames or so on each layer. I'm using edit multiple frames and selecting them all, and it is working to resize them, but randomly it will delete one of my objects for a few of the frames. When I scrub through the timeline after the resize, something is always missing, but it's always a random object and only for a few frames

I'm new to CS5.5 after being away since, I think, Macromedia was around. I just bought CS5.5 soley for creating simple, fun Android apps for my son (animated storybooks etc).
However, I'm constantly changing my phones and we also have a tablet and the wife has a phone with a small resolution.
What I'm wanting to do, is create an app that's at a resolution for my tablet (1024x600), but then also be able to scale it down to my Optimus 3D (800x480) and the Wife's Xperia Mini Pro (640x480)
Now, there will be bitmaps in there, so I didn't want the phone/Air resizing the app to fit the screen and using more ram and cpu than needed so I was wanting to create 2 or 3 versions all at different resolutions.

I'm doing and animatic movie with flash (means lots of hand drawn frames and many layers) I also have about 40 sequences
I would like to scale down my whole movie to a smaller size like 720*480 (actual is 1980*1080) but when I change size in "propery" window it just change the size of workspace and drawings stays the same size.
is there any way to have the graphics scale to the new document size without using "transform tool" on each sequence, because flash crashes when I do that.

I'm creating a Flash SWC for use in an AIR project.
I created a component which I tweened from big to small.
I tried sampling the width/height at different keyframes (using both flash actions and the flex debugger) and the object always reports itself to be the original width/height.
The result is that any content I assign to the SWC container does not resize when the tween happens.
Is there another way to put dynamic flex content into a SWC?

I am trying to resize my current document.It is currently 1000px and I want to make it 1300px but when I do that, all the elements that is near the top becomes off the screen to the top.I only want the document to be longer in height from the bottom but not sure what it is affecting the elements on the top?

I'm building my website using a flash template i bought. There is some sort of object (it's called sprite 45) that is like a box (I'll call it the Mystery Box). It is overlaid on a text box with my bio in the text box. When I run the test movie for the flash file, the bio comes up very narrow. It's width is constrained by the Mystery Box. It's really narrow, hardly more than an inch, which makes it hard to read the bio. It's possible to scroll the bio up an down, but it's still too narrow. I'd like to widen the Mystery Box. However, unlike the text box, it doesn't seem possible to do it.

I have a website with a large .swf file. However when people with smaller screens view the website, I would like the .swf (which takes up the entire screen) to resize to fit on exactly. Just like how on most flash sites when viewed they fit the screen perfectly, however also then when viewed on computers with smaller screens they resize and still fit perfectly again.

Using the flash authoring tool, I want to resize a dynamic textfield to a particular height.However, it will not allow me to size the textfield smaller than a height that will fit all of the (multiline) text. How can I override this and make the height smaller so I can use scrollbars?

I've a small problem with a banner. There's a part of text (made into a symbol) that has to jump out, so I made it 150% and the text around it moves away and then comes back. But the part that has to grow, does this in shocks. Does enyone now a way to prevend or mask this, so the client can be happy?

I am just getting back into using Flash after not using it for about 5 years. I'm having an issue with the simplest thing! I want to be able to type pixel values into the Properties panel to transform/resize an object from the OBJECT CENTER as reference point. If I use the transform tool, it uses the center of the object as the reference. However, if I do as above and type values into the Properties width/height, the object transforms with the top left corner as reference. If I need two or more objects sized exactly the same, or if I want to do a "zoom in" effect, using the transform tool is very ineffecient!
My object seems to be showing that the center is set as the reference point (white circle in center of object). Also, the objects I am working with are jpg's and psd's imported to the library, and made into movie clip symbols.

I am trying to resize a swf file that is loaded into a loader_mc clip. I have tested this in two ways so far:
load_mc.loadMovie(swfUrl);
load_mc._width=210;
load_mc._yscale=175;
Soon as I do this though, the swf does not load. I can do it like this however, but it does not use _width, which is what I need.[URL]..

I have a website made of swf files. The swf files are contained in an HTML body that I created with Dreamweaver CS4. I want the website or each page of this site or each swf file to resize depending on any screen or window size. I am using Flash CS4 and AS3. You can look at my site www.ealba.net and you will see that the size is too big for a 15 inches screen or smaller. I think there is a code for it... a code that adapt the website to any screen size.

I`m trying to load swf into mc using Class I made for loading external content and then I shrink that swf.
Everything works fine, but, when I create graphic outside of the stage in swf I`m loading, my Loader flash display even that graphic.

would like to make 3 versions of the same site, and then have them redirected depending on the user's monitor resolution. Because of this, I need to make some of the movie clips smaller, and some bigger. What is the best way to do this. Some of the movie clips contain text.

I have set a stage to this size: 1200x330 px.
All graphics in this animation area greater than the stage, so I could extend the stage size to 1200 x 450 px.
So, my miz size for the movie is 1200x330 px and max size is 1200x450 px.
Is there a way to show the movie at minimum size or maximum size based on the browser window heigt?
note that the movie is put iside a table in my html file.

If you resize the browser window the flash movie (and only the flash movie) will be shown in different ways. If the browser window is higher enough the whole flash movie is shown. If the browser window is not higher enough, the top and the bottom of the movie will be cut. Of course there is a trick that cuts the movie only to a specified minimum size.

I could use some help with my resize function, basically I'm dragging out a series of images from an xml file, loading them into my loader_mc, and tabbing through the records with my previous and next buttons with the use of some caurina transitions (each image is positioned of stage in the x coordinate). All works a doozy, but I'm stumped with the resize thing, What I'm trying to achieve is to resize all images produced from the xml array proportionally ...I can't figure out how to do this.
I would be very grateful for any tips, advice, solution etc...so that I can learn how to do this, no probs with as2...but need to forget about that now. I've attached source files for anyone ...code so far, the bit that I cant work out is commented

I am desperately trying to make the movies in the attached file resize with the web browser but anchored to the white line on the left. The coloured buttons should not resize but move left or right to align with the edges of the pictures.

IE 8 Flash CS4 v10 Windows XP Home SP3 (NOTE: The word "Resize" refers to an HTML change of the movie size; it does not refer to a Window resize)
Objective: Display a transparent 800x600 flash movie in IE, stretching movie to 100% width and height of webpage but keeping the objects within the movie from getting re-scaled. Objects are re-positioned at runtime via ActionScript with values meant to be relative to stage dimensions.
Problem: The movie resize is messing up the object re-positioning. The movie is indeed stretching to 100% of the width & height of the browser window's client area, but the objects are repositioned relative to something else (perhaps screen dimensions, but not sure). Result: Objects which were programatically positioned relative to original stage size are spaced way too far apart in IE, in some cases off the screen entirely, though they were not like this in the Flash editor.Question(s): Why are objects which were positioned within the original stage dimensions being kicked off the browser screen while the movie itself remains entirely on-screen even after resize? What dimensions/values are guiding the automatic post-resize repositioning of the objects? (These proportions appear to be different from the change in proportions of the movie itself.)

Flash 8's video encoder, use to let you crop (cut x amount of pixels out) and then resize a video (and in that order it did it). CS5's Media Encoder is confusing, from what I can tell it cannot do both, you either can crop or resize but not both. ANd if you can do both, you definately cant crop before the resize. So which is it? Resizing made sense last, because you could put in new values for the resize nad figure out how much you need to crop out.

I'm having a bit of a problem here. As per the title, my flash swf file works fine when tested from the IDE, but when I publish it and open it through the browser, the stage doesn't seem to resize along with the window.I post below a bare-bones example. The "back" movie clip should resize, only it remains at the starting dimensions
