So i'm making a flash text timeline animation that should loop continously.it goes continuesly but once its finished it disapears and goes back to frame 1.is there any as or way to stop the text from disapearing and have that nice flow of scrolling text?
When I create a TLF text area that is editable at runtime (which means that it can get a user input at runtime) I set the text direction to the 'right-to-left' definition in both the 'container and flow' and the 'paragraph' sections and set the language for Arabic or Hebrew at the 'locale' setting. I also set the text alignment to the 'align to start' mode. Now at runtime there's a stange thing. When I try to click with the mouse cursor on the editable TLF text-box, it's not displaying the text icon cursor and don't allow me to insert text inside.
But when I move my mouse cursor over the right side of the editable TLF text box, it change his appearance to the familiar text cursor which indicate that if you click here you will be able to insert text input inside. So my problem is how can I make it that only when I will hover over the TLF text box itself, the mouse cursor will be changed to text cursor icon and when I will hover beside its right side, it will remain at the normal cursor mode.
- I imported an AVI video clip to Flash converting it to FLV

- It automatically starts playing when you go to the web page

But I can't find their download sample And, they say click on Frame-1 and press F9 then put code snippit in after line 7 But, I see no Action Script when I click on Frame 1 and press F9... a window opens but no code appears...just a long menu on the left.
I recently modified a single page website for a family member (for fun). The family member had someone make a flash object a year ago at the very top of the page that cycles through a few different colors on the hair--the page can be viewed here [URL] She has asked me to see how to make it so the hair cycles through the colors continuously instead of just once--is this possible?
I have this flash movie I've been working on for awhile. I've received in these forums. I have my file set to load an array of swfs. Now, though, I'm wondering how to keep it from looping. At the end of the last swf, I want the movie to go to the last swf and then just stop. Here is my code:

I have an MP3 of helicopter blades that's about 4 seconds. I put this as a layer in my movie of the helicopter, yet the sound "hesitates" when the movie loops. The audio goes from edge to edge of every frame of the movie, yet I still get the hesitation.

I've been using the Adobe CS5 collection for nearly a year now but today is the first day I've decided to give Flash Professional a go.I'd tried creating a looping animation in Flash Catalyst but have had no luck at all (I'd followed a couple of suggestions such as using an flv movie as a timer but nothing seems to work for some reason), so I thought I would do it the proper way in Flash Professional.So far I have figured out how to import images, convert them to symbols,create a motion tween with key frames and do the animation. All this is good, but now I want the animation to jump back to a few seconds after the movie begins and play until the end,then jump back to that point again.Basically when the animation first starts it fades in for a half second or so,and went I want it to loop around I want this fade in missed out.
WordPress site as an .swf with all the appropriate files loaded in the same directory. My client would like two things to occur in the animation: 1. The animation should stop after first time it runs and not play again. 2. Further, the animation should remain stopped throughout the duration of the visitors session so that when they view other pages they don't have to see the animation reloaded with each new page they visit. So far I'm unable to even get the animation to even stop on the first page load, despite having taken the following steps: 1. Created an "Actions" layer dedicated solely to actions.2. Placed the "Stop" Action Code in the last from of the aforementioned "Actions" layer. 3. I'm using Action Script 3.0 with a Flash Player 10 installed in my browser.
I have a menu bar which is made by looping through an array of the menu options (and submenus) and then attaching a menuitem movieclip in each case (then setting the text). The menuitem movieclip contains a dynamic text field and also actionscript to draw the background depending on the current settings (colour, border etc).
I have a variable in my root fla file called menuwidth and this is used within the menuitem movieclip to define the width of the menuitem. When i set this to one value it works absolutely fine and creates the menus accordingly. i can change this to whatever size i want (including calculating the size of the largest option and then setting it to that, to ensure all options fit). This works great.I have been trying to code it so that the menu options can be different sizes (in the event of a horizontal menu) so that you can have one that is wider than another. The code has become quite long (due to submenu and other functionality) but in a nutshell it is:
I want to trim a sound and then let it loop in a slideshow. The sound -- a roaring crowd at a soccer game-- should loop as a slideshow plays. As the movie repeats the sound should continue to play. It doesn't have to be in sync.
This works if I use Streaming, but there's a gap at the beginning of the movie as if the sound was being loaded over and over again.
I've been advised not to use Streaming, but if I don't, the sound is reproduced in its entirety-- there is no trimming.
I created a new layer, draw a rectangle, converted it to button, made its alpha to 0 and then added a snippet to go to the url. But when it played, the action only worked after the first loop had finished. It didn't work at the beginning.
I have created a loop with 5 textfields (with 5 different names). The textfields autosizes and are in an array, so i can place every textfield as i want.
- But how do i create rollover and click events to these textfields?
- Is it possible to place this loop in a movieclip, where the movieclip autosizes according to the text in my text-array?
This is for a menu only with text - no graphic.

I am working on an interactive guitar tutorial. Lets say that the person is watching the video and doesnt understand part of the guitar line that I am showing them. Lets say that they do not understand what happens between 3 seconds and 11 seconds (this can be any point during the video). Is there any way that the user can loop any part of the video that they are having trouble with?
I installed cs5 creative suite on windows 7 64bit, I've got cs4 creative suite installed, all programs work fine, only flash cs5 has a problem, when I try to launch it, it loop after the write "I'm creating the workspace ... " (similar). It loop to infinite, I see the logo and a window with label = "flash cs5", into the window there isn't nothing, only a white page with the "cursor wait".I tried all the advise by adobe (on google cpsid_82252) but nothing work fine ... I re-installed all creative (after WinCS5Cleanupscript) but nothing ...
The problem i'm having with the new motion tweening is trying to make the last frame of the animation exactly like the first one. I need to do this because i'm trying tocreate smooth looking walk/run/breathing etc animation cycles. How do you make the final frame of the loop match the first frame of it?
I have several SWF files which are essentially little trivia files, provided to me by a 3rd party. They are individual files that number about 20. I am wondering, how can I play this as a list; like a playlist, and then loop back to restart? I'd like to do this in the stand alone player however it can only seem to load 1 file at a time. How I might look to accomplish this looping playlist?
I have to create a demo loop that will play on a 32" TV at a convention center booth. This .swf will also be repurposed on a webpage after the convention.What's the best pixel dimension to create the flash stage? If I create it at 1024 x 768 to fit safely within a browser, any idea how it will look when viewed on a TV? Will it look distorted? How do I compensate for fact that the TV may be 1080p or it may be 720.... and still have it work on a typical web page?
I have an flv video file that I've imported into Flash CS5 project as an embedded movie, because graphic and movie clip both produced still images. I want to embed the final product onto my website, and have the video autostart in the beginning, play all the way through, and then go back to frame 40 or so and loop continuosly from there. I've tried selecting the final frame and applying the instancename.gotoandplay (40); code but it isn't working. I read that this only works on keyframes, so I tried making the final frame a keyframe but because it is an flv file for some reason it isn't allowing me to do that.
